There are many people ready to back Pandurii as they found out U Cluj is weakened this season, with many players that left the club to join Petrolul. Well, they'll be weakened there's no doubt in that but still I think they'll be competitive, season expactations is no longer Europa League place as it was last season but staying in the league and sit as comfortable as possible in the table. I rate this team as decent outfit that could match the top teams in the league too. They have a new owner as well, who has had massive contribution at Concordia Chiajna success in the second part of last season, bringing in free players and bargains but they have enough of quality for this championship standards. New owner deserve some credit for what she's done at Concordia and that's what is going to get from me, quite confident they won't be a poor team as many predict now that many players left. New players might not have the same quality as those that left but with some determination they could be decent replacements. Pandurii, on the other hand, lost a few important players too, likes of Pintilii who was usually bossing the midfield, Cardoso at the back are no longer Pandurii players. Chiriches, very good centre back went to Steaua last season in winter and as a result Pandurii didn't perform that good like they did in first part of season. There are some important players that left that Pandurii over the last couple of months, It wouldn't surprise me to see Pandurii fighting relegation again, that's what they were doing year by year until last season. There's not really much that separates these two sides in my opinion, at least not as much as odds intend to do that. We should also consider the hot weather conditions at the time this game will be played, perhaps it would make this U Cluj +1.0 more attractive to you.

Think Severin have played pretty well at their first match, looked like can hold Dinamo to a draw at times but the lack of experience and quality proved to be decisive. They showed enthusiasm and determination as it was first match after promotion, 14.000 fans in the stands, top opponent - it would be lot different today when they travel to a really tough place and their game will decrease. Actually, I don't think there will be couple more of games Severin will show better performance. Brasov is very good at home and usually wins this kind of matches.

They won last game at home so morale should be good. Points earned: Iasi has ZERO points so far while Petrolul 6. But Petrolul so far played only one game away from home and lost it 3-0 not far away from where they will play tomorrow. Team’s play: Iasi is a “transition” team. By default all teams coached by Popa were “transition” teams. They try to defend good and to start fast counters. Petrolul is one of fewest “possession” teams in Romania these days. And they are quite good at. I think almost same level as Pandurii. Is clear for me that in this game Petrolul will be the team to lead the game. They will have for sure 55% possession. Set pieces: Iasi conceded only 1 out of 7 goals from set pieces and considering the fact that they played tough opponents like Dinamo and Rapid (both games away from home) and (Galati at home) this is a big plus for them! They look strong defensively at set pieces. They had over 75% cleared balls at set pieces which is good percentage against such strong opponents. Offensive they are not that good with only one goals scored from set pieces but that was a joke as Galati defense did the job and not them. Petrolul scores almost all goals from action play and only one from set pieces. Is curious why is that because they have great players to take the set pieces. Defensive they conceded also only one goal. And as far as Szukala plays regular in the center of defense they will have over 80-85% cleared ball at set pieces. Goals: Still is early to make some good conclusions but knowing the Petrolul is a “possession” team and they scored 6/7 goals from action is clear that they will try to win the game using that. Iasi will try to defend and hit on counters and set pieces. But Petrolul has no problem with scoring goals and creating chances. They created even when they played away at strong Vaslui and with one less player due to red card. But Iasi struggles to score. The facts that Iasi has poor percentages with scoring goals and they have a tactic that shows they are there to defend and they don’t have quality players upfront makes no bet on over 2.25 in this game. Useful balls inside 16 metres opponent area: Low numbers for Iasi who struggles to create anything. Is hard because they use 7-8 defensive players on line up and many don’t have quality for first league. Petrolul on the other side has good numbers even when they play with one less player. Things noticed in teams last games: Iasi struggles to score and will defend and hit on counter. Petrolul looks solid team. So why no offline bet on Petrolul? Because I have seen many teams that on home ground with their fans in the back can win a game against any opponent from that league but when going away from home they play with fear and you can not believe how poor they look. Is still early and they played with one less player in the only away game for them this season for more than one hour. Re: Romania > Liga 1 > 2012-13 I'm not an experienced punter and many times I find it hard to make the right choices or find the right prices and I go with the gut, this is more like a hobby than a serious source of income for me, so by no means you don't have to do how or what I say, don't lose your money and blame it on me. :) Now, this weekend I'll go with a treble, odds are pretty low on all 3 games but they should be very close to a "sure win". Rapid Bucuresti at home to beat Gloria Bistrita at 1.30 Last season Rapid were title contenders, but after failing near the end, they lost their coach and some of their good players. Also this club always has money problems with wages being payed late and this makes certain players under-perform at times, but still they managed not to lose at home this season, their only loss was the last away game against the actual leader Pandurii. Gloria Bistrita was in the bottom 3 with only 2 points before their last game which they won 1-0 at home against the worst side CSM Iasi with an offside goal. I don't think they'll manage to get anything away from Rapid to which their only focus is the championship being left out of any european competition. Steaua Bucuresti to win away at bottom placed CSM Iasi at 1.55 CSM Iasi is newly promoted this year, again, but their coach resigned after 5 games due to poor results and disagrements with the club's board, even if he helped them get back in the 1st league. Their new coach is the former coach from Dinamo Bucuresti and his first game was an away loss to Gloria Bistrita, they only have 2 points in 7 games, this teams has loads of problems and is in really bad shape right now. On the other hand, Steaua Bucuresti has a really good team this year and their main goal is to get the title this year, its been a pretty long time since they won their last title. They had 7 players on the Romania team that played against Estonia and Andorra, altough only 5 of them played I think. Steaua only lost one game against Vaslui who are also title contenders, nothing to compare with CSM Iasi. Steaua stumbled many times in the past playing away to Iasi, but this year this team looks in really bad shape. FC Vaslui at home to beat CS Severin at 1.30 or FC Vaslui -1 at 1.45 Vaslui is out of EL so the main focus is the championship, they've been very very close to win it in the past 2-3 years, last year they lost it only by 1 or 2 points. The only game they lost this season was against champions CFR Cluj. CS Severin on the other hand is a newly promoted team, they only got 3 points from 3 draws against not so strong teams, they're only 1 point above bottom placed CSM Iasi. This is a must win for Vaslui, if you want the title you have to win this kind o games and I'm confident they will fully deliver. There is another game with very good odd for champions CFR Cluj to win away at Dinamo which is a disaster at the moment, odds are around 2.60 for CFR to win and this is also a must win for them if they want to be champions again this year, my gut is telling me that they'll win, but I'm too afraid to bet :) so my 3 games are Rapid/Steaua/Vaslui -1 ALL CRITICS ARE WELCOME!

Rapid also not in form for such a low odds (but is true that they play against very poor opponent). Still not good pitch on Giulesti these days and a team with bus technique can cause them troubles. Re: Romania > Liga 1 > 2012-13 the Vaslui game just ended, had my balls up my throat, in and out, and I don't know where they are right now :))))to say my proposed bet was Rapid/Steaua/Vaslui -1, but my offline bookie had no AH available for the Vaslui game so I had to go with Vaslui 1.28 for my treble What can I say, I was afraid of Rapid with their problems, but didn't expect Vaslui to play such an awful game against the unknown Severin...whatever...I wish I had more people interested in the Romanian League games to exchange my tensions with, such a different league, stats just don't work in these league :) Even the more experienced godmato had nothing to say against this last pick :) Anyway, important thing is that I almost trebled my money on this one and it was a won bet :cow

Steaua has to battle some injuries this weekend, they came after a pretty hard-fought match in the Romanian Cup, even if a lot of the regular starters were rested Thursday. Petrolul is all about speed and quality up-front. This will play a major factor Sunday evening, because Steaua's defence is killed by injuries. Petrolul @2.5 all the way.

Ceahlaul Piatra Neamt is coming after a very important win made at home against one of the good teams of Romanian League a match in which they scored 3 goals and had several more chances to score. So despite the guests are more a home team to say so the fact that home side is having a poor game and a tense situation at the club make me take the guests not to lose here.
