slapdash
:$ Early stages of a tournament. Phone rings. I answer it. It's a nice Indian man from "Windows Customer Service" who is worried that my computer might be running slowly because of a virus. (If only all major corporations had such proactive after-sales customer service!) I thank him for his concern and put the phone down. Back at the computer screen I find myself in the big blind with AA. The small blind has open-shoved for 50 BB, and my clock has almost run down. With no time to think, I have to go with my gut instinct, which is to make the speculative call. The poor guy suffers a sick bad beat when, despite pairing his 3, his K3s fails to hold up. Luckily I immediately get moved to another table before the inevitable abuse.

pots11
Re: I am a slow-roller I saw the best live slow roll ever on Friday night in a casino league final freeroll of all places. My big blind (1000/2000) in seat 2. Lady in seat 9 makes it 6000. Small blind pushes in all for another 5600. I pass and now seat 9 starts to tank. Looks at cards, umms and arraghs etc. I'm now annoyed with myself for passing KQ from the big blind when the raiser can't even call an under raise. Anyway, after 90 secs she announces call and the small blind throws over AsTs. Seat 9 shakes her head and lays down Aces. Cue - "WTF etc etc". She says she didn't want to call as she's lost the last four times with aces and nearly passed. Aces hold. She played it very nicely because I never had her on aces!
