Student1379
Signed up after watching the other martingale thread with interest. Decided to give it a go myself, but with a slight twist... I'll be playing 3 bets at once, A, B and C, using the traditional martingale rules. Each betting group (A,B,C) has a pot of £3150 and my goal is to make £1000 in one week. The first bet will be £50, if that looses, £100 and so on. A pot of £3150 gives 6 chances to double up before I bust. Bet 1 A) Man Utd v Bolton - Man Utd -2 AH - £50 Stake EVS Pot - £3100 B) Liverpool v Stoke - Liverpool -1 AH - £50 Stake 11/10 Pot - £3100 C) West Brom v Norwich - West Brom - £50 Stake EVS Pot - £3100 Total starting pot - £9450 Total current pot - £9300

Lydo33
Re: Martingale - with a twist... How is your profit -£100? It should be -£50 since your 1st bet won.

Bedlam
Re: Martingale - with a twist... I assume this is a paper trial? and you know that martindale systems are doomed to failure? You have a chance of winning £1k in a week, which is great if you stop there, but human nature dictataes that you would probably do it again & again which will end in disaster. Sorry to be negative, but I feel it is the duty of the more experienced bettors to share their knowledge(much of it leared the hard way!). that is what the community of PL is all about. If you have not already done so, please read previous threads & systems containing the word 'martindale'.
0zymandias
Re: Martingale - with a twist... Yes, Student1379, you hear it right. I don't care you have 3 pots, 4 pots or 10 pots and your bankroll allows you to survive after 6 doubles or 7 doubles or 10 doubles. It just does not work out. 1) Your bankroll, no matter how big it is, it is still relatively much less than your bookmaker's bankroll. In the game between you and your bookmaker, at the end, one will lose. So who will have a greater chance to bust first? 2) Your bookmaker has a wager limit, no matter how many times you can double up, it will reach that limit. What will you do at that time? 3) DON'T BET JUST FOR THE BETTING'S SAKE.

Student1379
Re: Martingale - with a twist... How do you pick the games you play? They have to be EVS or above to be able to use Martingale. Other than that it's just gut instinct.
