peteg40
Advise needed on the above :unsure:unsure I put a bet on at Boylesports with BOG well that's what i thought :sad:sad Details i had with their live help....... Copy Exit Connected to cim.boylesports.com Session ID: 127945 Tracey has joined this session! Connected with Tracey. Your Reference Number for this chat is 127945. Welcome to Boylesports live help. How can I help you? Evening, please can you check a bet i had with you earlier One moment please. ok Can you confirm what bet it is you are querying? Bet Ref: 35/31 Lifestyle @ 5/2 15.45 Kempton Outright Betting Event date: 27 Dec 2011 Unit stake Total stake 20 Estimated return 70 it won at 5/1 odds ....BOG One moment please. return should be £120 ok Connected with Tracey Connected with Tracey I can see that your account is no longer valid for best odds guaranteed or special offers. You would of been sent an email confirming this. .no i have not and on odds maker it states BOG on ALL UK and Irish racing?? Would you like me to forward you the email again? No i want what's due to me?? BOG .... or i wil have no choice but go to trading standards... Unfortunately it is a management decision to restrict your account from special offers when they see fit. If you wish I can give you the details for IBAS who you can make a complaint to. This is from your home page..... Best Price Guaranteed (Horses) Take an early or a board price on any UK/Irish horse race and if the starting price (SP) is greater WE WILL PAY THE BETTER PRICE! Applies to bets placed online or Fon-A-Bet only. We do offer this, unfortunately it is no longer viable for Boylesports to offer cashback specials, best price guaranteed or free bets to your account for the reasons as specified in the email forwarded to you. This does not effect your Boylesports account in any other way and you will certainly be eligible to avail of the other promotions in our Casino, games and poker room. OK i will contact trading standards and see what they have to say with the info i have...it clearly STATES BOG on ALL UK and Irish horse racing!!!! Can I help you with anything else? That's why i use BOG sites, and have no problem with the others so this all the help i'm getting?? Unfortunately it was a management decision and you were informed via email about this. I cannot help you further with this query. So when was i supposed to have been sent this e-mail?? date please? It was sent on the 08/12/2011. last e-mail sent to me was Dec 26th ... Would you like me to re forward the mail to you? nothing received on 8th just checked...... So your company does not do BOG anymore then as you are stating on home page and odds checker looks like this will go down well with trading standards.. and on Bet 2 go Yes we still offer this unfortunately your account is one that we do not offer this too any more. WHY i'm a paying customer, do you think i would have put the bet on if i had the information you would not BOG ? I understand your frustration unfortunately I cannot help you further. Is there anything i can do?? or am i fcuked :(:(
twinny
Re: Boylesports im not sure but i think if the bet is accepted with bog, then it should be honoured,if your taking a few bob off the bookies then they will restrict accounts, put you through traders etc,but if you contact the racing post(my mate did over a football coupon but only a local bookie) they can give you all the advice you need, good luck:hope

BillyHills
Re: Boylesports I think you will find Pete that they can restrict any account in anyway they see fit, your only hope is that you can prove you didnt get notification of them changing your status which is pretty difficult. Good luck mate:hope
Haystacks
Re: Boylesports Boyles e-mailed me quite a while back to say that my account no longer qualifies for BOG. It looks like they are claiming that they sent you a similar e-mail. Frankly Pete, I suspect that your claim will not be successful, as they will no doubt be able to supply the arbitrator with a copy of the e-mail they sent you. Luther
Re: Boylesports Pete, it probably did go straight into your junk e-mail folder. As per the other responses have stated, I'm afraid that you won't get the ruling overturned. It is the first step many bookies take before limiting stakes and ultimately closing accounts. You've just been too successful in spotting market moves before they happen...
fintron
Re: Boylesports A couple of my mates are into their distance betting on the horses and today placed a bet on the total winning distance at Nottingham to be over 13 lengths with Boylesports at 13/8. They had their bet accepted but got an email AFTER the first race was off, stating that there had been an error with the odds display and that their stakes had been refunded. I think this is disgraceful behaviour towards a customer, its bad enough they won't honour a bet when the mistake was THEIRS (they changed the line on the bet to 18 lengths one hour after my mates had struck their bets) and rather than adjusting their bets to over 18 lengths, returned all stakes. There should be a minimum notice period that they are allowed to give you before they can void bets like this. Boylesports had changed the line on their bet by 1pm (first race was 2pm) so they should have contacted customers immediately to see if they wanted the bet at the revised distance or a refund. Yet another example of a bookmaker bending punters over and shafting them good and proper. Needless to say my mates are looking into contacting IBAS to get the winnings that are rightfully theirs. LoveNorthernRacing
Re: Boylesports fintron: That sounds dodgy as hell! Do you know what sort of price it should have been as 13/8 can't be too far away?
fintron
Re: Boylesports fintron: That sounds dodgy as hell! Do you know what sort of price it should have been as 13/8 can't be too far away? I think Boylesports just made a rick with the line and ballsed up. I think 13/8 was the right price but they should have put the bet at 18 lengths originally, not the 13 lengths they initially posted up! When questioned by my mates, there got told that it was a palpable error on the traders part. In their terms and conditions it says if there is a error then all efforts would be made to contact the punters to ask them if they wanted to have the bet on at the right price (in this case 13/8 at over 18 length) or have the stakes refunded. But in reality they gave my mates no chance to decide since they contacted them after the off and refunded the stakes. They must presume that people sit there with their inbox open all day checking for emails regarding void bets!!!! I think they should have at least had their money transferred to over 18 lengths which, as it happened, was a winner on the day too, so if the firm wriggles its way out of this one, what hope is there for punters? They've both filed complaints via IBAS and hopefully get the winners to which they should be entitled.
