Missing fences

I don't know if it would sound as a stupid question but I'll give it a try :) I read this about Ffos Las today's meeting: The second and third fence (open ditch) in the back straight will not be jumped and neither will the last in the home straight. So I was wondering if a news like that can be of any importance in the analysis of the races. Maybe a horse that doesnt jump particularly well could get an advantage from those 3 fences missing. What's your opinion?

Re: Missing fences Yep, I suppose the fewer fences the better for a dodgy jumper But he's still a dodgy jumper at the other fences that remain !...........:p
