Super 15: Round 5

Recommended Posts

Re: Super 15: Round 5 Sharks @ 2.15 centrebet Quite a few injuries in the Chiefs forwards with Smith, Bourke, Triggs, Afeaki out as is their captain and fullback Muliaina, so for a team that has won just 1 of its 4 games, it is going to be a struggle to match it with the in form Sharks are undefeated so far. They have are likely to have the edge in the forwards as a result, while Lambie has shown that he is a very good kicker as he has been hitting them from everywhere. Though the Chiefs have a talented backline, they have given up too much ball and have struggled to put it together so far. While the Sharks did get a scare last week against the Rebels, it is a sign of a good side that they can play poorly and still find enough to win, so like them to win this one, as they did last time they were in Hamilton two years ago Reds -18.5 @ 2.05 centrebet Coming off a bye and playing at home, the Reds should be primed for a big game given that they wopuld expect this is a winnable game for them. Plenty of quality in this team who like to move the ball around, and with the number of injuries in the Rebels team, they have the class, especially in the halves with Genia and Cooper, to beat them. The Rebels have been consistently inconsistent so far, where they have been belted by the Waratahs, played well to beat the Brumbies, belted by the Chiefs and then played well and just missed out on beating the Sharks. Hoping the trend continues and they get belted once again.

Re: Super 15: Round 5 Sharks @ 2.15 :( Too many dropped balls Reds -18.5 @ 2.05 :D Rebels got belted, so they should play well next week if their trend continues Blues -5.5 @ 2.00 centrebet Both teams have been prone to being inconsistent in the past, but like the way the Blues have been playing this year. They edged out the Crusaders first up, but lost to the Sharks after making the long trek to South Africa. They managed to beat the Lions over there, and did enough to draw with the Force on their way home. Now back at home, they will be looking to do well even tough they have a poor record against the Hurricanes, using their forwards where they have an edge. With Woordcock playing his 100th game, like him to lead from the front, and get a roll on from there. The Hurricanes like to spread the ball with the pace they have in the backlines, but they are prone to dropping it too frequently. They did enough to beat the Chiefs and just missed out to the Highlanders before that, but been burnt by them too many times to trust them here. Waratahs -32.5 @ 4.90 centrebet Waratahs have Barnes back at fly half and Palu back in the forwards which will only make them stronger for this game. They saw the 50 point by the Reds last night so they will be determined to repeat this here, so they will be aiming to get a bouns point from 4+ tries. For the Cheetahs, they have a poor record on the road and in Australia, and thye have lost by 23 points in 2 of their last 3 visits to Sydney. Though they have not been beaten by more than 15 points in their first 4 games of the season, each of these games were in South Africa, and now making the long trek for their first road game, can see them being totally outclassed by a refreshed Waratahs side.

Re: Super 15: Round 5 Blues -5.5 @ 2.00 :D Blues class prevailed in the end Waratahs -32.5 @ 4.90 :@ That was pitiful. My home team and they serve up this crap. Talked up once again as being a legit side and they had no enthusiasm while dropping some easy balls. Cheetahs to their credit kept it simple and made the most of their limited opportunities. On a side note, can any team really stay with the Crusaders. They were awesome today, and their centre pairing of Gruen and Williams are very very good. Forwards play very well as a unit and Carter is class at fly half. If the All Blacks do not win the World Cup this year, then they never will
