NBA - 13th March Picks

Recommended Posts

Charlotte Bobcats at Toronto Raptors - Under 198.5 points @ 1.926 (Pinnacle) The Bobcats meet the Raptors after a narrow win at home to the Trailblazers which cut their six game losing streak. In their last five games Charlotte have averaged 84.2 points and all season on the road they have averaged 90.8 points. There FG percentage on the road is poor too, averaging 43.8% and is one of the worst in the league. Toronto on the other hand are better offensively but will struggle against the Bobcat's good defense which has only given up an average of 94.0 on in their last five. I think with Charlotte playing terribly offensively but having a more than capable defense that Toronto will struggle to break down, coupled with two of the worst 3 point shooting teams (Toronto 30th, Charlotte 28th in the NBA) this total should stay under 199 points.

Re: NBA - 13th March Picks Indiana Pacers at New York Knicks - Under 221.5 points @ 1.885 (Pinnacle) I've gone with the highest total possible here, but feel that this line is slightly too big. The Knicks have been scoring plenty of points lately but the Pacers have not, and I feel the Indiana defense can help stop the Knicks too. Indiana's last 5 road games have led to four of them going under, and all of them were against very high scoring teams (Toronto, Minnesota, Houston and Oklahoma) and even though New York have had some massive high scoring games lately, part of me thinks that it won't last here tonight.

Re: NBA - 13th March Picks Bucks +9 AH @ Celtics. 1.91 @ Nordicbet (7/10) This is too big handicap for Boston to cover. They have been very poor lately having lost to Clippers at home and Philly away. They had a very tough match against Bucks earlier in the season getting rid of them only in OT and generally they haven't beaten Bucks by this many points in a long time, so I can't understand why the line is so big. Bucks will offer slow pace ball game and that kind of matches tend to be close ones. Anyway, 9 points is just a little bit too much for Boston in this match.

Re: NBA - 13th March Picks Knicks -7.5 AH vs Pacers. 1.83 @ Bet365 (8/10) Knicks will have Billups back today, that should boost their defensive performance. Amare will also play after avoiding a suspension for his 16th tech. Pacers have faded away lately after a very impressive start under Vogel. They are giving up more than 100 points and they won't be able to deal with Knicks' offense. Instead of going for overs or home team overs I settle for -7.5 pts handicap on New York, because I do believe they can outscore Pacers with little effort and win this match comfortably.
