diamond1924
Poor old Ruby, that looked a really sore one today, these injuries are really mounting up... What next for Nicholls? anyone think he'll turn to Noel Fehily (one of the very best imo) or Paul Townend?
diamond1924
Re: Ruby Ruby Ruby Just read on ATR that it's a double leg break, tib & fib. Surely the guts of the season and a serious doubt even for the festivals? What a loss for racing if so.
Blair Boy
Re: Ruby Ruby Ruby Gutted for him, Watching Kauto aim to add another King George to his tally won't be the same without Ruby on board.

diamond1924
Re: Ruby Ruby Ruby Probably depends just how severe the breaks are, usually it's pins and screws for a double break like that, footballers usually need a year.

Townend has far better rides in Ireland ;)
mileni4uk
Re: Ruby Ruby Ruby Terrible luck for Ruby. And Skelton injured too, he was riding extremely well this season. Young Ian Popham is a very good rider. He won't disappoint if given the chance to ride some of the big stars, but there has to be some top jockey coming as a substitute. Fehily is as good as Ruby for me in terms of ability. He'll be my first choice. And I imagine Barry and AP will pick up rides here and there. mileni4uk
Re: Ruby Ruby Ruby Hmm, Skelton might not be injured. I thought he was after yesterday's fall, but he is booked to ride today. That's good news :ok

erhaab1965
Re: Ruby Ruby Ruby Sam Thomas , just cos he rode a few high profile losers a lot of people turned against him. He's extremely capable and Paul Nicholls should let him prove himself by letting Sam win on Kauto.

diamond1924
Re: Ruby Ruby Ruby looking at Nicholl's jockey bookings for the near future, it could well be Mr. Fehily. Cracking jockey who deserves a crack at a top job. Fingers crossed he does well at Exeter tomorrow.:hope
