Overall the performance improved from 2021 to 2022 with a lower total loss, win rate improving from 16.76% to 18%, and rate of loss improving from loss on turnover of 4.52% to 3.67%. This improvement may be down to smaller field sizes in 2022 as a consequence of the long period of dry weather. 
Of the 182 listed punters 134 were active in both years. Of these 15 showed a profit in both years with 5 registering a profit of £30 or more in both years, and 4 returning a profit on turnover of 15% or more in both years.
Although Silver Fox finished 3rd I think the rate of winners and consistency of returns achieved are the most impressive.

At at the end of November there is only one player who would qualify over £120 and he has only had 7 winners all year !

Maybe a prize for annual profit over £50 and most winners in the year (hint,hint) ?

Sign of the times as to how the Grand National has changed. Off the top of my head I'm struggling to think of a National winner in the past who has come out of the race and gone on from there to be a serious challenger at the very top level.

I don't think they will have done. I can't remember the precise number but I think the record number of winners in a month is 22. If the selector was having a selection every day in a 31 day month the 9 losers would have meant the winners would have to average odds of around 10/11, which is not going to happen

You could have gone for the 1/3 shot that has just got beat at Ayr. In fact, why oh why could you not have done so !
