Smart hurdler who scored 3 times last winter and made the perfect start to her chasing career when eventually overcoming Lostintranslation here on return and holds excellent claims again.

    Ayr
Have to admit Ayr is not my most profitable track by a very long way but they have a couple of nice prospects on tomorrows card and will be worth watching for future reference.
In the opening race Ruth Jefferson introduces Buster Valentine who cost £100,000 after winning a point at Stowlin, he made all and won comfortably and looks a very exciting recruit. The 5yo wont be a price as he has found a very weak contest for his first run over hurdles.
In the 2.25 we have a fascinating novice chase which looks between three of the 7 starters. Two southern raiders in the shape of No Hassle Hoff (D.Skelton) and Kalahari Queen  (J.Snowden) have some chasing form in the book and they are joined by newcomer Uppertown Prince from the McCain yard.
On hurdles ratings No Hassle Hoff edges it by a few pounds and there was enough to like about his chasing debut at Sandown to think once he has ironed out the silly mistakes he can take one of these races without much fuss.
    1210: Buster Valentine 10/11
    225: No Hassle Hoff 13/8

A really likeable front runner who has been running well all season. He dropped down to a Class 3to win here over C/D in October and then ran well again last time out at Aintree behind a rejuvenated Yorkist.
This looks like a very god opportunity to me with everything in his favour.

Smart hurdler. 11/2, creditable 9¼ lengths third of 10 to Draconien in Champion Novices' Hurdle at this course (16.4f, good to soft). Not bred for chasing but respected on smart hurdles form.

Hasn't won since 2016 but he does at least arrive here having filled the runners-up spot on 2 of his last 3 starts upon joining this yard. Respected on that basis in an ordinary affair.

Cracking little novice chase to look at on Sunday. We have seen a few decent races in this division this season already! Once again any of the 5 could win (One For Billy NR). Defi Du Seuil is most interesting runner and in one way I hope he comes back to form and scoots up. I loved him two seasons ago when he was a juvenile and then for some reason lost the plot last year. The yard are back in business now so he could be anything over fences.
The top one will carry my money on this occasion, he is very well regarded at home and with his run at Uttoxeter putting him spot on for this that might just edge it in his favour.

EviL ZippY reacted to BillyHills in Ruby Walsh - Last fence saga continues
Yesterday we saw Ruby Walsh come off two very well backed favourites at the final obstacle, all jockeys fall, all jockeys have bad days but i find it amazing the amount of times it seems to happen to him, the supposedly best national hunt jockey around.
A couple of years ago a study was performed by Kevin Blake and it proved that Walsh did indeed fall off his horses at the final fence far more times than any other leading rider, so what is the reason for this, any thoughts?
Does he take it too easy, being over confident as he is normally on the best horse. Does he give the horse too much to do so needs to ask for that extra big jump. Is it just plain old nerves, and he gets anxious as he approaches the last?
It becoming a big problem now and it must prey on his mind as he clears the second last without any problem and races down to the final fence.

As was the case when this analysis was first undertaken, the initial point of interest for many will be that Ruby has the highest fall/unseat rate (5.27%) of all the top riders examined. This is 26.1% higher than the average of 4.18% amongst the other nine riders examined and 5.8% higher than the overall fall/unseat rate of 4.98% amongst all the riders in Great Britain and Ireland.
To conclude, Ruby Walsh’s mounts have fallen or unseated him at the final obstacle at more than double the average rate of other top jockeys examined in this study since 2009. They fell or unseated him when in front at the final obstacle at a rate that is almost four times that of the average of the same top jockeys in the same period. These are indisputable facts which have been established from a substantial set of data.
