  1. Re: Cheltenham 2011 - Ante post bets and discussion Last year i went to the Cheltenham festival for the first time on the opening day but didn't stay anywhere, but this year myself and about six mates will be staying over for a couple of nights. I have just been on to have a look at accommodation and seen that any available places within Cheltenham that week are extremely expensive. Can anyone that has been before recommend anywhere best to stay that is quite cheap? Sorry this is not regarding any antepost bets. Rather than clog up this Cheltenham betting thread can someone PM with info etc. if that is better

  2. Re: Euro 2012 Qualifying > 2nd-3rd September

fcuking cheating bastards :@ After Russia ended match against Andora and didn't score after 87:59 i recieved e-mails from bet365: We are contacting you regarding bets placed at the odds of 1.83 on No Goal after 88:59 We have identified that this selection was placed at incorrect odds and as such, in accordance with our rules, will be settled at the revised odds of 1.25. Also they suspended my bets from whole history like they never existed at all... How good is that?can they do things like that after match ended?i placed big stakes on all 3 singles yesterday and a bit more today at same odds. Is anything i can do about it now?
I have put the Spain selection in a treble and a fourfold and they have sent me an email saying there is a price change to 1.25 for that too.
  3. Re: Golf: 2010 Open Championship

Tournament H2H - Els over Mickelson @ 1.80 Centrebet These two have played 15 opens together and the record currently reads 15-0 to Els. Though you should never discount leftie the fact is Els is better suited to this type of golf and the price here is very strong. Also had a small, cheeky little bet on Faldo top 10 (75 Betfair, but 101 at some places). Things often come in threes, and the last two years we've had an oldie almost do the impossible, so some might say it's inevitable that another will figure him!
I have just put this same bet on earlier tonight on betfair at near enough the same odds. I have been doing this bet for the last few years at the open championships as my main bet, and did post up his record a couple of years back. Hopefully Els will continue the great record over Mickelson :hope. Just found some of my post from a couple years back to show his record and have edited to show previous head to head at St Andrews. Below is the summary of the overall positions/ shots between the two:- 1991- Mickelson as amateur, no Els 1992- Els tied 5th, no Mickelson 1993- Els tied 5th, no Mickelson 1994- Mickelson missed cut 1995- Els 5 shots ahead of Mickelson (St Andrews) 1996- Els 3rd overall, 11 shots ahead 1997- Els 2 shots ahead of Mickelson 1998- Els 16 shots ahead of Mickelson 1999- Mickelson missed cut 2000- Els 4 shots ahead of Mickelson (St Andrews) 2001- Els 7 shots ahead of Mickelson 2002- Els won overall, 12 shots ahead of Mickelson 2003- Els 7 shots ahead of Mickelson 2004- Els 2nd overall, Mickelson 3rd overall, 1 shot ahead 2005- Els 3 shots ahead of Mickelson (St Andrews) 2006- Els 3rd overall, 8 shots ahead of Mickelson 2007- Els 4th overall, Mickelson missed cut
  4. Re: Darts: Premier League 2010 - Week 1

2pts - Whitlock - Highest Checkout of the night/Week - 7/1 - Skybet Theyve got this all wrong! Skybet have Whitlock joint 6th with Jenkins and Baxter for highest shotout of the night?!?!? Best elsewhere is 11/2 with Lads and Sportingbet and you'll only get 4/1 with Betfred! Have they not seen this man finish? Admittedly on the night anyone can take out a biggie, but for consistently doing it, Whitlock is your man. Add to the melting pot he may have to take high shots to win legs this bet looks great. Nice post Samba, agree with pretty much all of that :ok
Fully agree with the value of this bet as Whitlock has taken many big finishes out whenever i've seen him play. Stan James offer 8/1 and i've taken that price.
  5. Re: Champions League » Dec 09 I have decided to back Sevilla (-1) to beat Rangers at home. Rangers have nothing to play for but pride and Sevilla are clearly the better team and have a fantastic home record in the Champions League. Even though Luis Fabiano is out injured, Sevilla can call upon Kanoute to easily fill the void to lead the line. Sevilla only need a draw to win the group if Unirea manage to beat Stuttgart due to their better head to head but i think it will be a backs to the wall job for the Rangers defence with a continous flow of attacks. If Rangers concede early then Sevilla can win by a few goals. Sevilla (-1) v Rangers - 11/10 Ladbrokes

  6. Re: World Cup Qualifiers - October 14/15

If these early games are anything to go by, the teams with fcuk all to play for and are already qualified are not pulling out all the stops to win so watch how you bet tonight! I was convinced Croatia would win easy and they made hard work of it, and I'm so glad I didn't go for hcp and just kept to the goals tally going over 2.5 goals. German game was the same for me in that i played under 3.5 goals and they are getting beat at mo with little left on the clock 1 nil at home by Finland! A standout bet for me tonight: Uruguay v Argentina - Red card to be shown @2.00 Paddypower **** The last 2 games that these have played against one another has produced 18 yellow cards! and with the card count not being carried over to the world cup then i expect this game, (because of what is at stake) to be littered with fouls and the Ref tonight is under scrutiny for his antics in his last match! Expect this ref not to be lenient and brandish in excess of 8 or so cards which I expect one to be at least a red one! :ok
Well done Jonesy, nice bet! Never in doubt ;). Very unlucky with your accummulator too.
  7. Re: Champions League » Sep 29/30

Have to agree on Standard Liege 7/2 is just far to big. AZ not in great form , Standard gave arsenal a good run for their money and just for the price its worth a bet. I don't undertstand why this is priced so big...the bookies are rarley wrong so well watch and see. Fingers crossed.
I think bookies have priced it up like they have for AZ is because AZ Alkmaar have only lost once at home in Europe in 33 matches, but they are in the Uefa Cup, not the Champions League.
  8. Re: World Cup 2018 I think Franz Beckenbauer has been quoted in the past few weeks saying that he will push for it to be staged in Europe and that he'd favour England to be hosts. Beckenbauer is on the FIFA committee to make the decision in December 2010. If it does go to Europe, then i can only see the main challengers being Russia and Spain, hence the prices on USA and Mexico being as big as they are.
