  2. Re: England > Weekend > League 1 > 13 August

I'm also backing Bury' date=' they also have a decent record vs Carlisle over the last few seasons, Ryan Lowe anytime goalscorer could be on the cards.[/quote'] Bury haven't been in the same league as Carlisle since the 2005/06 season and have lost five out the last six against them, so hardly a decent recent record. :unsure
  3. Re: Spain - La Liga > Ante-Post 2011-12 Season If you start a new thread in the UK and Irish football forum section entitled season match bets you will be able to make your selections in there if you put reasoning to your bets why you think one team will come above another. Of the ones on the Hills website, i'd fancy Cardiff to come above Blackpool, Brentford above Leyton Orient, Bolton above QPR, Huddersfield above Sheff Wed and Bury above Stevenage.

  4. Re: Spain - La Liga > Ante-Post 2011-12 Season

Boyd you there mate? I just did a search on here for Season Match Bets and found your name came up from 3 years ago' date=' are you still doing them? Just wondered if you fancied a chat and compare tips etc. Thanks mate[/quote'] Yes, i still do them but i am waiting for more bookies to release their match bets. Only William Hill have them out so far i think. I have been successful on them in three of the last four seasons. Last season only Arsenal vs Man City and Hereford vs Cheltenham let me down. You can private message me once you get to 50 posts, otherwise put some of your ideas of the season match bets in the threads for the right division rather than in the Spanish league and you can get feedback that way.:ok
  5. Re: paddock/parade ring I made the mistake of paying too much attention to a horse in the parade ring. I don't often go to the races but went to Newcastle races last Saturday. In one of the races, a horse called Tres Coronas was well tipped up by tipsters in the Racing Post etc. If i hadn't have gone to the parade ring i would have definitely backed it at 9/2. In the parade ring it looked ill, it kept sneezing and was agitated, with the headgear it had. I decide to back something else and Tres Coronas wins :(.

  6. Re: Name the favourite bet for Champion Hurdle Yeah it was on a specials market that Blue Square did the offer. It was definitely NRNB on the outright but i didn't notice what if it had NRNB on the specials. I never expected what happened with Binocular to happen so didn't pay attention. I placed the same bet with Hills and they voided the bet. I would have thought they were NRNB for all markets though.

  7. I placed a bet on Binocular to be named favourite of the Champion Hurdle when it was non runner no bet on the 9th of March. The bet has been settled as a loser rather than surely being made void. They have sent an email stating that the bet is under antepost rules, hence the reason it being settled as a loser. My point to them is that on most of their antepost bets it is not non runner no bet on the race, but the Champion Hurdle was, and had been for well before i placed my bet. I had no chance of winning this bet after the horse was forced to withdraw. What are people opinions? Is it correct to be a loser or should it be made void? Below is the email they sent about their rules. Having checked with our racing traders, I can confirm that your bet was placed under ante-post rules. Unfortunately, we will not be refunding ante-post bets as this is one of the terms of the bet. Any bets struck before the overnight declaration stage ("ante-post bets") will stand whether the horse runs or not, unless the horse is balloted out, or the race is postponed and not re-run, in which case bets will be void. In the event of a race being postponed to another day. "Ante Post bets placed before the entries have closed should stand and only be made void if the race is abandoned or made void, if the horse is balloted out/eliminated under Jockey Club Rule 125, or the venue is changed". "Ante Post bets placed after the entries have closed should be void, except when the race is run at a later date at the same venue and entries for the race are not reopened, in which case bets would stand".
