The prediction might not have been right but I'm sure you won't care after that win! You could seal promotion against your rivals now. What a way to go up that would be! I can't stand Garry Monk so hope you do it!

I am more than thrilled! I am very surprised how little Derby offered up front considering Burton and Hull have both managed to breach us recently at home and Derby have the leagues top scorer, but as you say I'm not bothered haha

I really can't stand Birmingham and would love to seal it against them. Actually rooting for a Fulham win before hand so we get the chance to!

  2. Despite Derby having a bit of an upturn I would be amazed if Wolves didn't 'finish' the job one way or another tonight. Actually expect it to be a BTTS match and a bit of a scrap so would not be surprised to see a few cards flying around (something we have been synonymous with this season). Winning this would set up a chance of guaranteed promotion at home against rivals Birmingham and potentially even wrap the title up as well. It is almost unthinkable to a Wolves fan that we won't get that opportunity so I fully expect all guns blazing tonight for the chance.

    BTTS: 1/1

  3. So, I'll be honest. I was terrified to post anything about the weekend fixtures because of the top of the table clash. Understandably I now feel a lot better (Sorry Stevie!). That was one hell of a ride we were put through and I don't think I've ever seen anything like that in all my days watching football!

How are you feeling about promotion now @StevieDay1983? At first I feared for Cardiff because of Fulham's run in comparison but having had a think about tomorrow I think you will beat Villa and are a good price to do so. Villa look seriously deflated to me and I watched the other night against Norwich and they let themselves down. They now need to prepare for the playoff's in my opinion and forget about automatic positions. The last thing they need is a high intensity, injury hitting game against Cardiff and I have a feeling you'll sneak this and keep the pressure on Fulham to keep up their amazing performance levels (though I really can't see them slipping up, either).

  4. Can't see anything other than a Cardiff win and think you are right with the -1. Think it's actually pretty good value.

As for Wolves they have an altogether different proposition travelling to a place that they have failed to win in in over 60 years. Middlesboro will be no easy task and to be honest I would take a draw which I have a sneaking suspicion is what it will be. But Wolves fans will love nothing more than to get one over on former West Brom manager Tony Pulis and march ever closer to what seems like the inevitable promotion. Middlesboro need the win themselves to stay in the playoffs but I have a feeling they would take the draw too. I don't expect a classic and hope I am pleasantly surprised at the end.

Elsewhere Bolton are a big price. A team in form against one woefully out of form and would be fighting relegation themselves if not for such a good start to the season.

Have Villa blown it? I certainly think so and would back Hull to beat them too as the momentum favors the home win.

  5. Well who would of thought 6 weeks ago that Wolves would be looking at this potential mess. All the contenders win and trips to Villa and Cardiff on the horizon. Wolves simply must beat Leeds. And I think they will.

A few times this season we have bounced back from a disappointing mini run and a Leeds side in turmoil seems like a good place to do that again before the weekends titanic clash. I watched Leeds vs Boro last week and Leeds simply offered nothing that Wolves should be scared of. Defensively they were a shambles and given the extra break and chance we've had to prepare for this match I would be amazed (and worried) at anything over than a Wolves win. We were stupid in the final minute against Norwich, we were then rubbish at Fulham, but a lot of teams could say that at the moment. Wolves should be too strong here.

  6. I shall just have a me a fun BTTS score bet I think. Finding it hard to predict what's going to happen this week.

It was a MASSIVE win for Wolves on the weekend whilst nearly everyone else was in FA cup action. It was a simply must win game for us with some tough fixtures coming up and attention now turns back to the chasing pack as the Wolves lads put their feet up tonight and look on.

I'm going for a Derby win. I know Derby have a history of cracking under pressure in recent years but something seems a bit different about this team to me. Millwall will be tough and we couldn't beat them there on boxing day but I have a feeling Derby will manage to grind this one out.

As for the rest of the promotion hopefuls I'm with you @StevieDay1983 I can see an ultra tight one goal winning affair between Sheff an Villa. I think Villa would be fairly happy with a draw but Sheff know they have to win this to keep up with the pack and not let Villa get away. I'm not anticipating Boro having much trouble with Sheff Weds so they will be piling on the pressure of the top 6 too. Expecting Leeds to fall further away, though. Feels like a draw at Hull to me that does.

  7. I will be watching the Derby match with great interest. They are coming up on us like a train but I expect Bristol will try very hard and grind something out of this one. A draw seems on the cards to me.

Without looking at stats I believe Wolves have an excellent record against Forest in recent years and I never really know what to expect with this forest team. Beat Arsenal one week and then look so blunt against Villa the next. Wolves haven't been at their best recently and we are all pretty disappointed with a missed opportunity last night in Swansea. I'm hoping we can pick ourselves up for this.

Elsewhere Leeds look like a decent price on paper and although I wouldn't like to take it, I'm expecting Brentford to continue their march up the table at Reading who seem to be in bog trouble if they don't start getting their act together. Tough game for Cardiff I think. Sheff Weds are another one that I never really know what to think of, but I never think goals. So if Cardiff can get a couple they should be safe.
