  1. Re: Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal > Sun 3rd March

Win bet on spurs, and trade out for me. Spurs will be far to strong for Arsenal going forward, there is no way Arsenal can keep a clean sheet here, Overall man for man Spurs are the better side. Bale to score at any time in the game, surely this has to happen. Spurs win, all but cements a CL place for next season, and more or less thats the end of Arsenal, unless they win 7 out of the remaining 10. What price that? Spurs 11/8 Bet victor 365 to win betfair...but when they go in front, 1.5 for the trade. 9/10 Bale to score anytime. 11/8 Stan James betfair. 8/10
    BALE first goal...Spurs score first..Spurs win.:nana
  2. Re: BBOTD Sunday March 3rd

LOOKING ON 2.30 HUNT...2/1 betvictor ladbrokes 888 ..9/4 betfair. The 80 rated flat gelding makes his overdue debut over hurdles today, had a pletherer of entries over the last few weeks, just waiting for the right ground and conditions, bought out of AOB flat yard, Henry Candy done well with him, destroying a field at Sandown over 10f, on fast ground..HE HAS THAT TODAY. Bought now for 45k, and is entered at Cheltenham next week, and needs to win well to take up that engagement. Stable in top form. Dont expect anything but a strong win first time out. Still 9/4(bf) after being backed all morning, should go off alot smaller.....Stable had brick red in this race last year, just failing to win FTO, but the stable is in much better form this time around.
Went 1.2 IR,,,we were undone by a top ride from AP McCoy...A very very late Jockey change.. :@,,,Must have been planned. Change the jockey, change the result IMO. However two decent hurdlers beat the rest easy, in a fast run race, definately two to follow. ,

  5. Re: Everton v Reading > Sat 2nd March

Nah Spurs will def not be top 3 imo' date=' they're like the England national side...destined for failure. Their run of games coming up is very tough.[/quote'] For sure this weekends results will sort a few positions out, If Arsenal dont win tomorrow, 10 games left, Spurs game in hand, 4 points behind...Cant see it. IMO, Arsenal are ailed on for 5th Man UTD 88 Man City 81 Spurs 74 Chelsea 72 Arsenal 66 LFC 62 EFC 59 SWANSEA 57 WBA 56
  6. Re: Flat is back..........What are you looking forward to ?

I love the flat , I marginally prefer it to to the jumps. What meetings / horses / clashes etc are you most looking forward in the coming months ? Obviously Frankel is on everybodys list so try to leave him out unless you have to. I'll kick off with hoping to see S D Sousa making a sustained effort to try and the Jockey Championship , he's a top class jockey in the making and I anticipate a good run for my money at 4/1. One horse I have my eye on from a punting point of view is trained by L Cumani and called Petrol , unplaced twice as a 2YO , if he's still in training then I expect at least another poor performance possibly with a inexperienced / poor jockey before being trained properly and winning some races. Night meetings at Chester or Haydock in the middle of summer with an ice cold beer in one hand and a pair of binoculars in the other , can't wait.
Firstly Thank you for the last race, last night..6/1 e/w, then it was smashed off the boards...I ow you a beer or two. I am most looking forward to a 100% fit Ryan M,,,,I think he will take alot of beating for the Jockeys Champ...and I really think there will be some hidden gems in SIR MS yard were hcaps are concerned, such a bad season last year...he will come back with a bang. Agree with the summer nights...Disaster that Aintree has not got a flat meeting anymore...great track on the flat!
  7. Re: BBOTD - Friday the 1st of March... 4.35 NEWBURY Reginaldinho 4/1 blue sq stan james bog. tried over 3 miles last time, did not stay, is back down to 2 mile 4f. Can easiy defy todays hcap mark, given todays conditions. Liam Tredwell back on board today who knows how to win on this, Stable are absolutely flying, banging in winners left right and centre. Todays race has a load of front runners who like to make the running, and will spit the dummy out if they dont get the lead... Reginaldinho, is the hold up horse, who will be suited by the fast pace and should come there with a ton underneath.. Confident win bet for me.

  8. Re: The Jockey Thread

It's my fault for getting involved!! Am livid!! 28 days or 3 months' date=' Betfair won't be refunding my stake and neither will Mr Probert!!! Arrrrrgggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't have the words!!! :([/quote'] NO M8....cant say anything to make you feel better...Feel for you...Probably the way i felt at the same place...when I had 3k on ballindger ridge..another dark day in racing!
  9. Re: The Jockey Thread

I had no investment....BUT Y Y Y Y Do they do it...? That is GROSS misconduct, and UNLESS the BHA say have 3 months off....No one will ever learn, that is very sad for all who backed it all morning and all day, Yes I know he made a mistake, but he is a proffesional. That is the worst ive seen for some time.:puke
28 DAY BAN!....3 MONTHS WOULD HAVE BEEN BETTER IMO..

  11. Re: Wigan Athletic v Liverpool > Sat 2nd March

Dont agree with this Wigan have started playing because they got a result at Reading last week. Results before that show that they have only been beaten 3 times since the new year to Sunderland, Man Utd and Chelsea. We have not won at Wigan in ages and always seem to struggle there, I witnessed a 0-0 at the DW last season where we missed a penalty. Luck never seems to go our way at Wigan however we always seem to go their on a midweek night game but not this time around. Its hard to predict what will happen with us as we are unpredictable at the best of times never mind after having a week off where every other side played last weekend. Its going to be a hard one but I will predict a draw for this game due to the fact of our poor run at Wigan and the fact that they seem to be in decent shape. Draw 3.8 StanJames
Surely that has to be a score draw m8?...cant see a 0-0 here.
  12. Re: Everton v Reading > Sat 2nd March I would say this game and the wigan v LFC game for BTTS, around 2/1 for both games does stand out. I may play a bit of that. However this is surely a game of the season for EFC, they must win it period. If they dont, any thoughts of Europe will be forgotten, And that is not lost on the club, were as Reading had a forward sent off last week, and im sure they will play only 1 up front and pack the midfield, EFC going ahead in games is the norm against lower in the division, they will probably drop to 1.12 if and when this happens, so backing EFC and trading out is the way for me...I would not want to be relying on a 1-0 ahead with 20 mins to go.

  13. Re: Dubai Carnival

3.20 Meydan: United Color' date= 10/1 , win United Color finished third lto over today's distance on the dirt track at Jebel Ali. He runs from a one pound lower mark today. This is his first run on tapeta but if he takes to the surface he should go close. This is his fourth run this season so he should be in top condition for this. In his first run this season he was beaten by just a short head by Russian Rock, who has won again since, as did the third placed horse. Trainer Dhruba Selvaratnam is in decent form with 2 winners and 5 places from 12 runners over the last two weeks. Jockey James Doyle, who was on board for 11 of those 12 runs, is in the saddle. 3.55 Meydan: Luhaif, 13/2 Paddy Power, win Luhaif finished third in the trial for this lto. He was 3L behind the re-opposing Elleval but I think today's smaller field race could be run to suit my selection. He is the only definite frontrunner in the field (Deauville Prince has in the past) so he could get an easy lead. He steps up to a mile today and it should suit. He has run over today's distance once before when he was beaten by just ¼L and he is closely related to 9f group 3 winner Charlie Farnsbarns. Jockey Martin Harley is in good form, with 3 winners and 4 places from 11 rides in the last fortnight. 4.30 Meydan: Amanee, 4/1 Paddy Power, win Amanee finished second in a group 2 lto. He finished 3¾L behind the progressive Sajjhaa who won another group 2 nto. This is his first run on tepeta but his sire's offspring have a good record on all weather surfaces so it should suit. Mike De Kock is in good form, with 3 winners from 15 runners over the last two weeks. The top class Christophe Soumillon is in the saddle. 5.05 Meydan: Shuruq, 11/2 Paddy Power, win Shuruq finished second in the 1000 Guineas lto when all of today's field also ran. He was ½L behind Lovely Pass. He steps up in trip by 1½ furlongs which should suit as he was finishing strongly lto. He is Godolphin's third string here going on cap colors but Lovely Pass was wearing the red cap in the guineas and it won. The in-form Paul Hanagan takes over from Silvestre De Sousa in the saddle and that is a plus for me.
Nice start........10/1,,L15 already payed for, gl with the others
  14. Re: GOOD Ground Anticipated For Opening Day of Cheltenham. That is obviously sensible, as the forcast i was looking at was certainly no rain till thursday, however I would think it will be good all around by then due to the High Pressure we are under, most days until next thursday hitting a high of between 50-55 in sunshine. I very much think it will be good/soft on the first day, regardless.

  15. Re: BBOTD Wednesday 27th Feb 7.30 KEMPTON. TANAWAR 5/2 WILL HILL BOG Tanawar is drifiting a bit, but really should take care of these, he is a high 60's horse, taking on lower opposition.. til late. He may open 11/4, but should be backed tonight, prime distance and track,, as ever i wait uny

  16. Re: lay betting With your lack of knowledge, you will be eaten alive. May i suggest you watch and learn, buy some laying software, analyse the charts, no service on the planet can advise you of what may happen within the 7 or 8 mins before the off of a race. Even if you close your eyes to pick a horse to lay, the stats say you will be right 80% of the time......However the other 20% can and will see you off if your not careful...NEVER LAY IR,,,you will be gobbled up, by the big sharks. Laying is dangerous unless you have all tools, you have anticipation, and experience of Jockeys n Trainers on how they ....shall we say manipulate the game.

  17. Re: The Jockey Thread

Sorry M - just seen this - appreciate your thoughts. With Regards to Mr Frank Spencer and Jimmies post above - I've been sat on my hands all afternoon with regards to this ride.... 3 other runners and he manages to find interferecne with 2 of them and once in the clear appears to deem it too much effort to wave the stick about and at least give the impression he has done his best..... His mount was backed in from 10/11 to 1/2..... Hideous, arrogant ride and Spencer at his worse. :sad:sad
M8 ive just put it up on the other, the impression was he was being backed, but on the off on the exchange he was 1.86..went to evens in matter of yards.. CHEATING OF THE HIGHEST...Were are the indian racegoers when you need them.
  18. Re: Daily Racing Chat Thread STAR OF RHOM, was a disgrace, pure cheating no other words for it. 1.86 on the off on BF, 1/2 and shortening in the shops, went evens after 50 yards in a 4 horse race. Spencer t his very best....hands n heels n gets beat a neck, after finding all sorts of problems..he made the two horses in front of him look like london bus's. UNDEFENDALE, I wish there was two bus loads of angry Indian racegoers there!, no just one man and his dog!
