Sloane Stephens (+1.5 sets) to beat Simona Halep at 1.75 with Marathonbet
This is more about bet management than about trusting Stephens all that much, but, given how she's played so far in this event, she could certainly do some damage against Halep, especially if the latter is confronted by all her Grand Slam demons at some point of the match. That might certainly happen like it did in the last year's French Open and the Aussie Open finals obviously don't help in this regard either, so let's see. On top of that, I'm afraid that this is also the last serious chance for Halep to win a GS in this season, so this bet is also somewhat of a hedge against my pre-season bet on her. Of course, she could lose this match and then go on to win Wimbledon or the US Open, but that would be so mentally challenging that I just don't see it happening. 2-1 Halep please!

That's kinda the problem. Without first serves, he would be beating the Isners and Andersons 6-1 6-1. But it's not that easy with so many balls flying above you due to the kick serves these guys are able to produce. Slight edge for Diego imo, a huge deal depends on Anderson's serves.

He had a bad day, was playing much better against Grigor.
Fabio Fognini to beat Marin Cilic at 3.00 with Pinnacle
There are basically two possible scenarios here imo. Either Fognini doesn't get stuck in and loses 0-3 or he does get stuck in and maybe even wins - and I think that the value lies with the latter options at 3.00, especially if we do see some rain and some further slowing down of the conditions.

sorry Owen but with either Thiem or Nishikori up next for Zverev I get the feeling that the penny will drop today for Sascha and a straight set win will be crucial to him today to send out a message to his next opponent.
I personally don't think that Khachanov is in the same league as Dzumhur or Lajovic (Sascha's previous two opponents) so I'm going for Zverev to win 3-0 @ 2.65 with Unibet.
    good luck all

as my profits are high this week I can't resist a small stake against Rafa today.
he was lucky to beat Bolelli in straight sets but, of course, went on to demolish Pella.
so with Gasquet playing out of his skin and with most of the crowd behind him I'll be on
    Gasquet +2.5 sets @ 3.75 with PaddyPower
H2H stats never interest me, if they did then I wouldn't go anywhere near this bet.
NOT my most confident bet, good luck all

F.Verdasco/N.Djokovic - Over 3.5 sets at 1.80 with Paddy Power
I didn't like Djokovic at all today, struggling to beat Bautista and, more importantly, struggling to produce good service games. Verdasco has a long history with Djokovic and he should see this as a chance to get something now that Djokovic isn't as good as he was in their previous meetings. Not sure that he has enough to beat him, but Verdasco's forehand is firing well enough to take this to four at the very least.

Karolina Pliskova to beat Maria Sharapova at 2.05 with Marathonbet
I'm not entirely sure what makes Pliskova the underdog in this match. She was a bit poor in the first set against Safarova, but she was able to outclass her once she started to focus a bit more, while Sharapova...I mean what's there to be liked about her game right now? The match against Vekic was all about Vekic's head really, she was the better player of the two for much of the match, but she somehow managed to out-DF Sharapova and choke many chances away. She did show, however, that big hitting can do a lot of damage against the Russian and big hitting is what Pliskova is all about. She doesn't move as well as Vekic, but she packs more punch and her serve is more potent as well, so I'd honestly have Pliskova at around 1.75 here, certainly not as the underdog. It's honestly quite puzzling to me, so maybe I'm missing something?

    Buzarnescu M. - Svitolina E.
will this be a shock result? why not? Buzarnescu is having a great season and, in my view, is being very underestimated by the bookies.
Svitolina has stuttered in both her matches so far going 5-1 down in the first set to Tomljanovic and getting broke twice in the second set against Kuzmova. She wont be able to do that and get away with it against Buzarnescu.
Buzarnescu to win @ 5.60 with Unibet

Ok I'm not giving up yet, 3 bets from me today
Caroline Dolehide to beat (-1.5 sets) Maria Irina Bara at 2.20 with bet365
Caroline is up 2-0 against Irina and is yet to lose a set to her. Caroline is about 3 years younger and seeing that she beat Irina in straight sets when she was 16-17 makes me even more confident in this bet. Let's see if Caroline can do it again outside Florida.
2018 $60,000 Indian Harbour Beach, FL USA Clay Final DOLEHIDE 4-6 5-7
2016 $25,000 Wesley Chapel, FL USA Clay Round 2 (Qualifying) DOLEHIDE 5-7 5-7
Harmony Tan to beat Georgina Garcia-Perez at 2.25 with bet365
Going with the french 20 year old woman here seems like the best option. Georgina is nothing special.
Alexandra Dulgheru to beat Tamara Korpatsch at 1.80 with bet365
Dulgheru has played well enough to pass this test as well. I think she should be a slightly bigger favourite. She's also beaten Tamara once last season in 3 sets on hard.

Ok this is the last bet for today
Marta Kostyuk to beat (-1.5 sets) Martina Trevisan at 2.20 with bet365
The great big talent of this 15 year old ukrainean girl is available to see for everyone and yet she's as high as 1.50 to beat this italian because she dropped a set to Eri Hozumi in first round. I don't think she'll drop a set this time and it comes to me as a nobrainer since Marta is way more talented than Martina. It's 9 years between them and Marta is already ranked top 150, the question is only when she will break top 100. Martina has been top 150 last season for a short period at 144 which is her career high ranking but losing on clay in straight sets to players like Silvia Soler Espinosa in Rabat qualies, Michaela Honcova in a italian 25k ITF and getting destroyed by Marie Bouzkova in Lugano qualies doesn't look good. That 3 set final loss in another 25k italian ITF to Manon Arcangioli 23 years old ranked career high 268 (2015) doesn't look good either. Based on those matches I'd be surprised if Marta drops a set here. In round 1 Martina defeated Francoise Abanda in 3 sets and that's nothing special as well as Martas 3 set win over Eri Hozumi is nothing special. Anyway now I think it's not impossible that Marta will raise her game and likely take this in 2. I better be right about this risky bet since I've already lost a lot of risky bets this week.

Naomi Osaka to beat Simona Halep at 3.10 with Pinnaclesports
Simona is not playing well lately. She was crap in Stuttgart and crap in Madrid and Naomi is playing like she's playing on hardcourt on clay so she seems to have found some kind of rythm and it's hard to break her game if she's in the zone like she was against Vika on monday. Similar to Karolina Pliskova in Madrid Naomi can do the straight sets again over Simona just like she did in Indian wells when she won 6-3 6-0. Naomi is playing awesome so I count on her to find her shots again tomorrow and sending this out of form world no.1 out of Rome nicely enough so she can prepare for Roland Garros. So I see it as if Naomi will do Simona a favour if she wins here. Another nice world no.1 win just before Roland Garros, yeah why not? Feels more likely that Simona dissapoints than Naomi doing it. Feels stupid to back Simona here when she's played so bad in Madrid and Stuttgart and smart to back Naomi who played awesome in first round. It's hard to be no.1, Simona probably feels the pressure and it gets to her.
For jackpot: Naomi Osaka -1.5 sets at 5.04 with Pinnaclesports

Peter Gojowczyk to beat Lorenzo Sonego at 2.50 with bet365
Lorenzo has already done his part of the deal in Rome. He beat Adrian Mannarino and that's about enough for me. I'm sick of the italian. For me he's going out in straight sets here. He'll have no chance against Peter even if he tries to defend as mutch as he can. If Peter plays his game with well placed serves and good baseline play he wins. Lorenzo will try to play with a lot of court coverage and get balls back in play and hope for Peter to miss most of his shots eventually. Peter just knocked out 13 ranked Sam Querrey but he sucks on clay and Peter also sucks on clay but he's the higher ranked player here and therefore he's gonna beat Lorenzo who's done enough this tournament by beating one higher ranked player who also sucks on clay just like Peter. But because the italian beat one player higher ranked doesn't mean he will win his next match automatically.
For jackpot Peter Gojowczyk -1.5 sets at 4.00 with bet365

Matteo Berrettini Total Games (vs. Zverev) - Over 7 at 1.89 with Marathonbet
Fabio Fognini (+1.5 sets) to beat Dominic Thiem at 1.88 with Pinnacle
Both Thiem and Zverev have played way too much tennis recently, so I wouldn't be surprised to see them struggle a bit against two Italians. Fognini has some quality and Berrettini has some form, which means that some resistance is to be expected. I'm not sure that it will be enough for a substantial result, but tight scorelines wouldn't surprise me.

Basilashvili vs Baldi - ATP Rome
there was a definite "playing at home" factor amongst the Italians yesterday and I'm hoping for more with Baldi today.

Collins vs Cirstea - WTA Rome
hard to see this going any other way than a win for Collins.
Cirstea's form is poor at the moment whilst Collins is on the up defeating Lepchenko and Giorgi in the quallies so should be nicely tuned in to the conditions.

    Gonna try this fourfold tomorrow
Kevin Anderson to beat Philipp Kohlschrieber at evens with bet365
Kevin way better then Philipp and has always been although he's got fewer titles but reaching a grand slam final says it all about Kevin and he's fully capable on this Madrid surface.
John Isner to beat Pablo Cuevas at 1.80 with bet365
Big John going strong nowadays facing a Pablo with semifinal points to defend but I fear he'll come up short in this matchup because of the big serves coming his way tomorrow. He'll have to return basically out of his socks to win this match.
Simona Halep to beat Karolina Pliskova at 1.44 with bet365
Simona has a 6-1 head to head advantage in this matchup and she's world no.1 and will still be after Madrid and she's playing good enough for another Madrid final. The reason it's 6-1 to Simona is probably about returning and reading the Karolina serve so well. She just beat the other sister and will likely beat Karolina to.
Daria Kasatkina to beat Petra Kvitova at 2.50 with bet365
Saw Petra in the Prag final and that first set when she was up 4-1 she decided to throw it away. Even though she eventually won the match by grinding down the romanian she was a complete disaster with unforced errors thrown in from left and right. It will be costly when facing this young russian.

Maria Sharapova to beat (-1.5 sets) Kristina Mladenovic at evens with bet365
Masha all the way here for me. She's way better then Kristina on clay and any other surface. Only reason they went the distance last season in Stuttgart was because it was Mashas first tournament back from suspension. Now this time I think Masha is gonna win this one and likely in straight sets.
