French addition
Le Nomade
I think his Trainer Francis-Henri Graffard is hugely talented and this colt ran a lovely debut at Chantilly a couple of weeks ago, falling out of the stalls before running on to finish a close up 3rd
Will be the market leader to win his maiden tomorrow over the same CD [12.25]
Bet 365 have opened up at 7-4

Finished almost last!
But Yu Liu has her first start of the year this week, and would not like to see her go unbacked at 200-1 with Unibet
At 80-1 Celine Boutier would also not be without a chance as played Ok in the season opener, and finished 4th on this weeks course last year

Thyme is also 2 years younger than Paisley which I think is an advantage
- MCLARKE and Wanderlust

Stayers Hurdle-Thyme Hill
Should be unbeaten this season, my banker of the week
Currently 4-1 with Bet 365 or 7-2 NRNB

Mentioned earlier that the Brandt team have lost one of their best horses to David Menuisier, but they do have a promising filly ..
Norrey
She ran a nice debut 2nd earlier this month at Chantilly

Talking of Graffard, this yet to race 3 year old colt of his has ability am reliably informed

As usual I like to put up a dark one trained by the Irish legend Dermot Weld
Mitigated Risk
Yet to run or have any entries but this 3 year old son of Galileo is expected to be a half decent stayer

Adding this Irish colt
Sir Lamorak
Though not winning ran with credit behind Ballydoyle stablemates in two top track maidens, will find his feet when going up in trip
-
-
Adding...Snow Lantern
Cracking debut 2nd in a red hot Ascot juvenile last summer ,and I think this Richard Hannon filly could be top class
-
also adding...Lady Rockstar
Her Newcastle debut 4th in a decent novice cried out for a middle distance trip, in very good hands of William/Maureen Haggas
-
-
adding...Xaario
Trained in France as a juvenile by Pia & Joakim Brandt who thought the colt was special but he only won one of his 3 races
But the owner has now sent him to a trainer of whom I greatly admire David Menuisier, and I would be more than hopeful he will find the key to this grey

With the flat turf season not too far away, I have been spring cleaning my tracker and only keeping horses that excite me when thinking about their their future...like
Derab
Abdullah colt trained by Gosden who ran a nice debut in a hot Ascot maiden last autumn
-
I played at 20-1 again when the Trainer spoke positive words about the horse on telly before the race.
Good point though about the extra place prices overnight and early morning especially on a market which like the Meydan one would not have much volume to it.

I see Eastern World is spending the winter in Dubai and runs tomorrow [3.15]
Though Buick is on the Fav, worth chancing our horse at double figure odds [Taken 14's]
Each Way [six places] @ 12-1 Skybet
WON @ 20-1!
Always pays to be patience in this game

A rare poor run, writing on the wall when leaving the stalls horse wanted to go forward but jockey pulled him back which did not go down well!

Interesting debut run
Went off a well backed Fav, but jinked leaving the stalls and was last early on but ran very free for first half of the race
Jockey seemed to accept the situation in the home straight deliberately not switching the horse out wide to challenge but decided to educate him by bringing the colt through the middle under hands and heels to finish a close up 7th beaten about 3 lengths
Winner waiting to happen!
Silastar runs tomorrow at Chantilly [1.50]

Interestingly, it is priced up for the County Hurdle with most of the major bookies (BP 25/1 with Bet 365), even though according to entries I can see, its only entered into one of the novice races.
Will not run at the Festival as had "small setback"

Lovely ride by Benoit to get his 3rd win on Hint Of Stars tonight
Like that he is not whip happy, its all about rhythm and balance. Though obviously he will make mistakes, take a look at his ride at Newcastle last Saturday on the odds on Pitcher's Point
As you do not go for home on that track so far from home, and he was on the wrong side. But he is learning his craft and be interested next time he rides that horse as totally unexposed on the turf
