  1. Hats off, great picks. Actually I bottled it as I suddenly didn't feel that sure about anything as my observation revealed something and yet your knowledge put me in doubt. At least made some quid thanks to their nice habit of scoring just before or in injury time.:) Who fo you fancy for the final, btw? (Well, Tunisia, WERE pushed by the ref, although both pens were as dubious as you could get)

  2. Morocco - Mali prices Yeah, we'll see. Can agree Tunisia will probably be pushed, but stand by my original pick of Mali to make it to the finals. They are surely the liveliest outfit and even if they don't make it, they'll most probably give you a good run for your money (2.10 to qualify @ superOdds - UK clone of OZ Sportodds)

  3. Morocco - Mali prices mr onemore-- All in all, we can agree we differ. What we will see come Wednesday is - Mali, won the QF thanks to a 90th minute goal, and Morocco, well, they well one down going into injury time and equalised only just two minutes from time + injury time (5 mins). They had arguably the better of play, but somehow couldn't ship any past the opposing goalie. Kanoute is far from being a god, but as far as I could see the attack of Mali is at least prolific in front of goal. I actually don't care too much as Mali and the draw in Moroccan QF earned me enough to survive this lovely cup without suffering a loss (not meant as after-eventing, particularly my picks of Mali are below and the draw pick was pure maths just after the other QF match of the day finished), but still think 2.25 on Mali to qualify is good value. I never believed Mali to win the whole thing, just judging by what I have seen so far. Anyway, I also stated the books may know something. If you are "in the know" as well and have sound reasons to back Morocco and Tunisia to qualify, than it's another story. The above reasoning, though, will make me just reduce the strength of my bet.;)

  4. Re: Morocco - Mali prices Yup, posted at the same time so moving it here. Can't find any price on the net as yet, but one of my local books has just priced up the "to qualify" market for Wednesday's semis and this one really catches my eye Mali to qualify @ 2.25 In fact, Morocco are made quite big favourites in this one. They earned me quite a lot for laying goals from the 80th minute further on yesterday, but I am not going to be loyal as they are clearly the weakest team in the semis and were very lucky even to get that far. Does anybody have any crucial info to put me off?

  5. Re: . Morocco should just nick it, whether it will be a low-scoring one is open to question, though as particulalry Algeria are a strange and unpredictable outfit. They battled well against Egypt only to lose their last match. Cameroon and Nigeria - can pretty well go either way, although I would slightly prefer Cameroon for this one. One the whole, tomorrow looks like a no bet for me. Eurosport - they are pathetic. They chose the worse match today which was clear well before kick-off, at least anybody who has seen just 5 minutes of Senegalese effort would never decide this way (and as well Mali were featuring in the other match and they've been the most impressive outfit in this year's tourney, imo).:moon

  6. SENEGAL After Senegal fell behind vs Tunisia, one could see TWO unconscious Tunisian players after very harsh treatment from the Senegalese side (Diouf the main culprit), one huge row during one Tunisian substitution, one very nice act of Sylva the GK who shot a ball very strongly at photographers behind his goal from very close range (when the ball was out of play) - these being only the worst cases (AND in the meantime they didn't manage a single shot on target...). Considering this is the championship of the continent and the players are well aware those games are televised, I just wonder what they think they are doing... Thanks God they are out of the whole thing or maybe they would be fielded fully armed with machineguns the next time. I guess those b@stard need to behave and not a little bit but a great deal more, or return to their village league if their relations can stand something like this. This is not a racist remark, but incidentally it Diouf and co. who are in similar trouble in Europe over and over (for spitting, biting, violent behaviour and stuff).:spank :spank :spank

  7. Re: Algeria vs Zimbabwe There is also the so-called "Alibaba double" on tomorrow, worth considering for higher rollers. SuperOdds are best priced for it. Cameroon not to lose @ 1.21 Algeria not to lose @ 1.09 Combined odds: 1.31 - nothing much but still 31 per cent of profit with minimum downside (Cameroon are not Senegal). Wouldn't even think of taking it at Gamebookers, though, as their prices are REALLY skinny.:spank
