  1. Ulker -4 to bt Barca looks a good thing. The only one which offers it is Betinternet, though. Odds 1.83. Barca are travelling w/o Duenas, Fucka and Grimau and Bodiroga should start for no more than several minutes. This is the whole backbone missing. The home side without major casualties, Blair has a pain in his back but wants and is expected to start tonite. I've had a sporting (a little bit more than sporting, to be honest) wager on Ulker, but PLAY AT YOUR PERIL. I'm no expert in this sport, only got a tip which looks pretty good.

  2. NHL 18/2 Wed Just for the info - Dallas won and pushed the balance to over 27 pts for the season. I am still kicking myself for not launching another draw chase yesterday when it was ripe (and came in). SJS didn't win, bad luck, JJBEAR, but this only proves me right - the Sharks outshot the Preds 27-20. In fact, it doesn't say much about Vokoun as a star of the game, it rather looks like SJS's goalies had a day off - Nabokov 5 goals from 14 SOG, Toskala 2 goals from just 6 - they shockingly underperformed.

  3. NHL 18/2 Wed Be careful with the Quacks - hope you are not playing the "Columbus must lose now as they are terrible and can't win any more on the trot" as Ana is as unpredictable as you get and as they look like surely out of the playoffs, who knows. Best of luck anyway. The under pick looks like a dug out treasure as the line is way lower than the one you got (oh, those purely British and Irish books - will they ever learn to ceoncentrate on what they know something about? -Hopefully not!);)

  4. NHL 18/2 Wed SJS - they are 20-8 on 1 days rest and won L2 on the road. Nas lost 3 out of 4 @ home now and won just once in 6. The Sharks also won 2 of L3 H2H encounters. I'd go for them, the only thing is I haven't found a key to Vokoun's post All-Stars performances. Honestly, the Sharks made it to my shortlist of two plays and the above was the only thing which put me off as any time I've gone for or against him since the break was a loser.

  5. 1-1 last night in the end and only one play I like tonight. Dal -1/2 to bt LAK @ 2.10 *generally available* 2 PTS Dallas are riding their longest losing streak for ages (I mean - 2 games) while LAK are doing OK. Both goalies are a bit erratic and surely not up to the standards of the rest of their teams, but still they are able to catch a puck from time to time and range @ similar league positions. LAK are better when playing @ even strength, Dal are better (much better on PP). H2Hs 4-5-1. MOST IMPORTANTLY, LAK are just returning from their 7-gamer road trip across three time zones and you know how I feel about the first homer in ages. Have to fancy Dallas to edge this one. That's it. T.

  6. NHL 17/2 Tue Well, well, well. When it's raining, it's pissing. Toronto 2 down in the first and the lovely strikers of Minnie and NJD have forgotten what a net looks like. There are cold streaks and hot streaks - I am riding the stone cold one. Still, there is always tomorrow.;)

  7. NHL 17/2 Tue See what you mean, King Jeff, Kidd gets the nod tonight and he is an awful 0-4-1 vs Bost in L5 (but also 3-5-2 in L10, ie 3-1-1 in the 5 before). Let's face it, Belfour was not the one to decide the last ones' vs Boston in Tor's favour - he is a similarly awful 1-3 in L4 vs Boston (and 5-4-1 in L10). Anyway, a pick posted is a pick played and although I centempated quite a few moments hwether to pley them or not, I decided to pull the trigger. BTW, it was Tellquist between the pipes last night, not Kidd. Not that it makes Kidd a good goalie overnight, agree. We'll see.;)

  8. Italy v Cze Rep Know nothing about Italian squad bar the fact they just accept this match as a necessary nuisance. Czech are unbeaten in 19, BUT Cech the goalie is out injured and the back duo will be rested as two new faces (ex-u21 sqad) are given the nod. Would need more info to back Italy with any confidence (also a "friendly" draw may be on cards in this one).

  9. Well, little to add after a 0-3 night which cost us three precious units. Still, again, nights and streaks like this happen and it's not the end of the world. After all, we are still sitting on almost 25 pts of profit YTD (24.97 to be exact). A horrendous card and have been struggling to find anything of note, but have come up with two solid looking plays. Min @ NJD OVER 4.5 @ 2.27 *Pinnacle* 1 PT I am well aware of the recent record of BOTH teams. Minny have 1 over and 5 unders in L6, NJD have seven straight unders. What catches my eye here is the H2H record, which reads 4 overs and just 1 under in L5 (ex. 5, 5, 4, 8, 6 goals) - with Brodeur involved in all of these encounters. TOR -1/2 to bt Bos @ 2.02 *Pinnacle* 1 PT Always think twice before you back the Leafs. Still, everything but the fact they are playing their 3/4 game (doesn't work much) is in their favour. Boston had their 6 game winning streak snapped and lost twice in OT in L2. Toronto, on the other hand, are as inconsistent as ever, but still win more often than lose (3-2-1 L6) and they are much better @ home than away. H2Hs read 6-4 in Tor's favour (3-1 @ Tor). Also looked @ overs in the Washington and Toronto games, but with totals set @ 5.5 goals decided to give them a miss. Ott and Montreal, both with -1/2 puck, stand a very good chance of winning, but as you know I never back so low (both just under 1.70). Bet @ your peril in these cases. That's it. T.

  10. NHL 16/2 Mon Well, well, well... the first one (Atl) lost big time (but still it's just one unit). Not gonna have any more plays just - TORONTO are missing Belfour tonight which a kida lifts the Pens' chances. Play @ your peril. If anyone fancies Fla - the might as well win, but are missing two prolific strikers AND although they hold Car overall, they tend to underperform away from home in this fixture Other scratched fancies were Det OVER (the line @ 5.5 is too high) SJS +1/2 - can't pull the trigger against Philly tonite Vancouver - nice H2Hs, but can't back a team in a terrible vein of form vs on form Avs. That's it.

  11. NHL 16/2 Mon Carmine - this 5/7 trap is a special kinda 3/4 trap, much better. The play agaist LAK was scratcched as they have somehow favourable H2Hs (level, but much better lately), they have beaten the trap without much effort once or twice this season AND the books are pretty much aware of it - I ain't gonna back ANY side @ 1.52 (ML) or 1.69 (-1/2), which is exactly the price for the Islanders (not to mention both NY teams are as inconsistent as you can get). The total - should be over, yet it's over 5 @ 1.82 - too low. JJ BEAR - Tor -1/2 is @ 1.38, not 1.83. B365 is not the best benchmark as they offer -1.5 handicap as their standar much more often then other books (also due to the fact you can adjust the cap in the scroll down menu). Hope it helps.;)

  12. NHL 16/2 Mon JJBEAR - as far as I know, the stat of the Pens losing just once when handicapped +1.5 has changed rather rapidly as they have managed to lose by a greater margin in quite a few cases recently. Anyway, the line I know of (Pinnacle) reads Pens +1/2 - even +1/2 was on my shortlist a few minutes ago but they are playing against VERY unfavourable H2Hs (3-7 and 1-4 @ home, losing big). So far, they are a pass. Hope this helps.

  13. Re: Mon 0-2 on Sunday, but rolling on. As there are 4 early games on Monday and one of them is a subject of one of my gambles, I am sending it pretty early. Maybe I'll pull the trigger on one or two more after checking up-to-date info. Atl +1/2 to bt BUF @ 2.31 *Pinnacle* 1 PT Atlanta finally managed to win agter losing 5 straight while Buffalo are in good form with just one loss in L6. BUT, the Thrashers hold the Sabres on H2H - 8-2-0 overall AND 5-0 @ Buffalo. There is one thing as the Sabres have a nasty habit of drawing quite a few so depite they have gone without a draw for quite a while, I am covering the draw in this one (yes, I know the draw counts after regualtion, but they've failed to draw in reg and OT as well). Nas (ML) to bt CLB @ 2.13 *Pinnacle* 1 PT Where this price is coming from is anybody's guess. First of all, it is very profitable to oppose the Jackets, particulalry at home. Now, their line of results reads 0, 2, x1 (win in OT), 2, x2. Nashville seem to be over that mini-crisis as after three straight losses, they managed to win one and to draw one. H2Hs are clearly in their favour - 7-2-1, 3-2 @ Clb and 2-0 in L2 @ Clb. Dallas -1/2 to bt ANA @ 2.08 *Pinnacle* 1 PT It's no secret I don't rate the quacking team at all and although they have just one loss in L4 and have better H2Hs (5-3-2, 3-1-1 @ home), there is an overwhelming stat they are against on Monday - Dallas Stars haven't lost two straight in 29 games (and are coming off a loss. That's it. Maybe I'll add some @ the usual time. T.

  14. NHL 15/2 Sun (ALL GAMES START EARLY) Thanks for the nice words, guys, particularly encouraging on day like this. How we lost both games... words just fail me. On the other hand, you can't win them all. Have to say, CB, you also know your stuff, much aprreciated reading (when I find some time as betting on NHL, footy and horses are my main objectives and although I used to play basketball very near the top flight in our country, have never been good @ picking winners in this sport).;)

  15. Just to tell you all there are as many as four EARLY games on Monday with the first one on tap @ 5 pm GMT. Although it doesn't look I'll get involved after a quick glance, there may be a play after serious digging. After a quick glance I have five nice looking picks @ very nice odds on my short list, but am definitely not going to reveal them until the time is ripe (or rather until I have placed my bets;) ) YTD (updated after Sunday's debacle: 95-104-19, +27-97, +12.64 per cent yield. :)

  16. Two wins and a push last night took us to 95-102-19 for the season with +29.97 pts of profit, ie +13.67 per cent yield. ALL GAMES ARE EARLY AND START IN APP. 90 MINUTES. LAK +1/2 to bt NJD @ 2.36 *Pinnacle* 1 PT LAK are 6-4 vs the Devils and also overwhelming 4-1 in L5 visit to Nej Jersey. What they (or particularly Cechmanek, their goalie) need to recover from is conceding as they were in fine form until his pair of poor performances. Mind you, while LAK are coming off two losses (one of them in OT, NJD are coming off three straight losses. The +1/2 puck is taken because of the nasty habit of both teams to draw quite a few games. Edm @ Nas OVER 5 @ 2.06 *Pinnacle* 1 PT Well, a bit obvious but anyway. H2Hs read 4 overs, 2 unders and 4 pushes (@ 5 goals). Add to this the Predators are going to start Vokoun between the pipes after a break of one game. Let's face it, I was going to oppose him after he was clearly the weakest goalie in the All-Stars game and conceded loads. I somehow missed his 3 matches following the AS game, in which he duly conceded 14 goals. He was then rested for one game and the question is if it was enough to regain the lost confidence. That's it. T.

  17. Jack G's Correct score system Looks like RFO stands for Racing and Football Outlook and remotely remember RFO having been mentioned by Jack @ times (more exactly @ the times he was into this). The main trouble remains the odds were slashed big time before the beginning of this season and I also tried to count it and it looked like very long and hard work to stay in front. And with the most likely pair being Rangers and Celtic, the worst thing is Rangers inconsistent nature this season. Good luck anyway, raylin.;)

  18. VANCOUVER PTDSEI Vancouver are seemingly in a serious need of a good goalie. Last night 13 shots for Atlanta after 2 periods and they had 3 goals... 19 total shots for Atlanta... 4 goals... PATHETIC! Vancouver has 13 shots alone in the first period... 0 goals... Ie - they attacked all right, but just conceded a bit too many with respect to the number of SOG.

  19. Re: Saturday night NHL(14th) Sorry if you had to wait too long, I finally decided to spend about 4 hours watching the Return of the King ('s been for just one month in our cinemas) and came not long ago and quite spent. Fresher now and here we go. YTD update: 93-102-18, +21.19 (yield 9.84 per cent) A winner last night and a few early games tonight (have already started), but, to be honest, I am struggling to find something worth a large investment tonight. Therefore, there are just two plays I feel are overpriced @ Pinnacle (and much lower elsewhere, the under is even a favourite @ B365) and one last step of our Pittsburgh draw quest. If they fail to draw in regualtion tonight, I'll leave them alone. SJS -1/2 to bt CLB @ 1.98 *Pinnacle* 1 PT Right, the Sharks are riding a losing away streak at the moment (4 so far) and are only 3-2 in L5 @ Columbus. still, they are also 7-3 in L10 H2Hs overall, Columbus are playing their 3/4 game (not that it matters that much this season but anyway). Columbus are quite shite @ home and the team of the Sharks' calibre should be backed any time they are @ even (nearly tonight) money vs such a lowly team. Fla @ TB UNDER 5 @ 2.04 *Pinnacle* 1 PT Last 5 H2Hs went under and two of the hottest goalies in the form of Khabibulin and Luongo get the nod tonight. Odds against. Enuff said. Pitt @ STL DRAW IN REGULATION @ 4.9 *BF* 2 PTS See the intro. That's it. T.
