i really think ISLAND BRAVE is worth a play in the 4.15 Newmarket outsider of the field only 6 runners Bet365 are paying 3 place and priced 18/1 i just can't resist 1pt e/w. getting on in years but on old form looks chucked in here and imho definitely not a forlorn hope. Total 2pts

In the 3 handicaps there Brioni 14/1 Lethal Levi 6/1 Tempus 20/1 look to have decent e/w chances. and may be worth a few shillings e/w👍

The Easterby clan will send a big team there and probably pick up a Handicap or 2.
Interesting about the weather as a few very big priced decent horses in the handicaps a bit of cut would suit and bring them into it.
Ground good to firm at present looking at their forecast not sure the amount of rain expected will change things enough unless the clerk of the course decides to water aswell!!
A 40/1 winner of the 4.15 on Day 1 for the Clan!

The 2.45 York what a race this is you would get a different result every time you ran it!
Ill try 2 e/w the drifting Lethal Nymph 0.75pts e/w 25/1 bog 6places & Aleezdancer 1.25 e/w 16/1 Bog 6places = 4pts invested.
Aleezdancer scooted up 26.5pts returned 👍

I meant to add in the above... Beyond Borders give South Shore 9lb and a nearly 6l in front of it lto while south shore was only a llb higher than and when winning a length from Auric.

BB has only run against South Shore once from what I can see and that was the day on heavy going you mention? And today Beyond Borders has to give Auric 9lbs.
Will be interesting to see what happens.
The price on BB has capitulated.

Don’t know if you’ve noticed Richard but Auric also has collateral form with Due For Luck. A horse called South Shore was beaten half a length by DFL at Ripon last year. South Sure then beat Auric at Windsor two weeks ago. So if Auric goes well ill be topping up on DFL!!
Beyond Borders well ahead of South Shore before he went on to win nto albeit on heavy going.

Yeah used oddschecker all the time but its just a pain now. As for McIlroy not disagreeing that 10/1 is a crap price but i took a super boost with bet365 18/1 outright and 3 places x2 bets i think that's a fair enough but not everybody's cup of tea.

I have had a good look at the GN and my conclusion is that this year is weaker than last based on my notebook. Vanillier is the rightful favourite and at 12/1 is a good bet but needs waiting until after Cheltenham before backing. The one that most interests me is last years winner Corach Rambler at a nice 16/1 ish, It won easily enough last year and many will point to the weights difference with Vanillier but for me Vanillier was all out whereas The Rambler wasn't or didn't have to be "forced" even though it idled in front like it does in most of its races and Vanillier was catching it. So my conclusion is that it will be 1. Corach Rambler. 2. Vanillier and for 3rd i will chuck in Noble Yeats. My bets will be based around these with wins on The Rambler with forecasts and tricasts on all three as soon as they are available as long as they are double figure prices as they are now.
"I have had a good look at the GN and my conclusion is that this year is weaker than last"
Well if that's the case surely ROI MAGE @ 66/1 is worth chucking a few pounds e/w last years 7th only run out of it after the elbow. I'm on!!!
