  1. Re: Free World (Nicholls/McCoy)

due to run in the 2.00 at Sandown on 6th December (on Channel 4) for anyone who fancies checking him out!
Not guaranteed to have a run on Saturday. Last time he was declared for a race, he was pulled out at the 48 hour stage. Chapoturgeon represented the stable on that occasion and lost to Araldur. On saturday, Free World is declared at this stage, but I'msingingtheblues is also declared from the Nicholls stable and it wouldnt surprise me if the Latter was to be the stable horse for this race. Interestingly Araldur will also compete in this race,

3:20 -Stagecoach Pearl Not the best quality bumper you are ever likely to see but Stagecoach Pearl looks a big price considering the promise of LTO@ Market Rasen when chasing home Frascati Park who has subsequently went and won again as well as a 2nd place. The short price favourite Kosta Brava is a live danger with stable jockey Denis O' Regan getting the leg up this time after AP McCoy took him to a 3rd place LTO; Bets Stagecaoch Pearl e/w @ SP. currently 12/1 ISH Stagecoach Pearl/Kosta Brava Rev F/C
    ABOUT Fcuking time!!!!
  3. 1:35 - Onecoolturtle E/W Career best run was 3 runs ago at Roscommon with conditions and ground very much similar to what they are today. Not the hottest field in the world and has already had some market support in Ireland today. Has shown just as much in the past as most horses in the field that are a shorter price. The current 11/1 looks big, even for place odds it looks big.

  5. Re: Best Bet Of The Day - 03Dec08

12:35 Plumpton Postmaster 3 of 10 at the course and distance 21Sep08 followed by a 2/11, 1/12, 1/7, and 4/14. Last time out was a Class 3 Handicap Hurdle with 12K going into the winner. Today is a Class 4 Novice Hurdle with the winner getting 3K. Owner R E R Williams has 7 wins from 20 Novice Hurdles this season. 10pts to win
12.35 Plumpton: Postmaster Stable in grand form. Trainer's only runner across cards today. Won last 2 starts in this level of company and 4th in better race LTO. If able to cope ok with ground conditions tody must be a player. WIN
    :clap:clap Cracking Start 2 With a 5/1 winner
  6. Re: Best Bet Of The Day - 03Dec08 3:40 Plumpton Bobby On The Beat Has run with great credit both times previously at a higher level against much better horses than facing today. Nicholls/Thomas have hardly been the best combination of late, particularly at short prices but at least this horse should stay on its feet.

  8. Re: Plumpton - 03Dec08 12:35 - Sir Ian E/W Fairly well thought of by the trainer and is thought to be certain to improve upon a good 2nd place LTO. Can go close in this company today judging by what all the horses have thus far shown. 1:05 - Phardessa Might be worth taking on the front 2 in the market, in particular the favourite from the Alan King yard. The selection has run fairly well on both outings this season, and prefers the ground to be really soft. Has ideal ground conditions today, only concern would be whether or not 2 and a half mile is a little on the sharp side. 2:10 - Amble Forge Not a very original choice given the very short odds, but is still very nicely weighted from his last run and doesnt incur a weight rise til this weekend. Should be able to see off some pretty mediocre opposition.

  9. Re: Fairyhouse 30/11/08

LOL - That is why I don't play in Ireland much...Nice pace to the race.
Don't pay too much attention to the outcome of this race, Cousin Vinny needed the run, Also needed some experience over hurdles, and against some very decent horses. Very very promising debut imo and will improve beyond the 2 he finished behind in time.
  10. Re: Inglis Drever

Was a strange race today. They went no pace and this played to the strengths of the Henderson horse. Can't really take the form for the World Hurdle. I still think Pettifour will be the one that will improve and Blazing Bailey will also peak around March. Kassbah Bliss .. well .. the hurdling Tatenen. Not touching those odds.[/quote] Fcuk Me!!!! Most bookmakers have shortened Kasbah Bliss to 9/4 and 5/2 for The World Hurdle. Sickening odds at this stage of the season.
  11. Re: Jumps Season 08/09 - Antepost Bets & Horses To Follow

Can somebody explain to me why Crack Away Jack is 8/1 from 6/1 when running a fantastic race against some tough opposition that is older than him and over a trip that is a bit too far. Elusive Dream' date=' Chomba Womba and Franchoek are all suited by the trip, while CAJ is a genuine 2 miler. And he could have easily won the race if there was no mistake at the 2nd last. At the same time Binocular beats absolutely nothing and is cut to 4/1. I'd rather have 8/1 on Crack Away Jack to be honest. Not that I'll take it, but sometimes bookies act very strange imo.[/quote'] "He could easily have won the race if there was no mistake at the 2nd last". That's the point I think. there was a glaring error, and the same level of error would bring him down at Cheltenham, whereas although Binocular beat nothing, he travelled supremeley well and his hurdling was on the whole imperious.
  12. Re: Aintree 23/11/08 1:40 ----- HOLLOW BOTTOM Impressed Greatly when scoring LTO, has the benefit of a run this season (which Gwanako hasn't had yet), acts on the ground and the distance shouldnt hold any fears. Gets almost a stone and half from Gwanako and looks good enough to take advantage of it.

  14. Re: Ascot 22/11/2008

Been keeping up to date with Nicholls runners this season, and before today he has 4 winners from the last 30 runners he had out. Definity 8/11F, Tatenen 8/13F, Ornais 13/8 and Thundering Star 11/10F. Compare that to the previous 20 outings, where he had 10 winners. Also from the last 30 runners (before today), Nicholls has had 11 horses turned over at odds of 3/1 and less. Doesn't really make the reading of a stable in form.
Adding to this a little further using yesterdays results Of the last 41 runners that Nicholls has saddled, 6 have won. Of the 35 that haven't won, 15 of them have been 3/1 and shorter. 6 from 41 ordinarily isn't that bad a figure, but when you see the horses who have been beaten for various reasons, you realise that the stable isn't quite firing. Oslot Osako D'Airy Poqeulin Kauto Star Chapoturgeon Lamanver Homerun Rippling Ring Silverburn Opera Mundi Big Fella Thanks Herecomesthetruth Imsingingtheblues Tataniano American Trilogy Nakai All horses that should have been getting a lot closer, if not actually winning the races they took part in. (In my opinion). I will continue to back the stable as I believe that they still have the best horses, and I still believe that January through March is when Nicholls horses really come to the fore. Might also be worth noting that some of the defeats could have perhaps been reversed had Ruby Walsh been in the saddle.... but thats immaterial.
  15. Re: Ascot 22/11/2008

Dont know if any of you noticed but Robert Thornton definetley had a injury going into the ascot races today. When he was in the parade ring i noticed he was limping (well enough to spot something was amiss) when meeting connections of Howle Hill which was also a bit edgy in the ring' date=' (Ended up Pulling up) Franchoek he managed 5th / 8 and The Hairy Lemon managed to come last over 24 lengths behind the winner. Not sure if any of you thought that this was a well below par day for Alan King & Paul Nicholls who are not firing at all at the mo, compared to henderson?[/quote'] Been keeping up to date with Nicholls runners this season, and before today he has 4 winners from the last 30 runners he had out. 16. Re: Placepots/Quadpots

Placepots and Quadpots are run by the tote and the payouts depend on how many people have taken part. They are both seperate pools so there is a possibility that more people will hit the placepot as that is the one most people play for! The quadpot only needs a couple of big priced winners and placed and favourites out of the frame and chances are there will be a decent payout! Hope this helps Rule :ok
    Thanks mate :ok
