Re: Thursday E/W Fancies 150 Catterick Royal Flynn RPF 10/1 Studied the 220 closely looking for something to challenge Lennon and couldnt even pick out one who would finish 2nd so concentrated on the 150 event and what could challenge Pevensey. I dont fancy pevensey today and think Fortunate Isle will give it a lot to worry about...howver I feel the surprise package could very well be Royal Flynn who done absloutley nothing wrong in hurdling debut finishing a nice 3rd in conditons similar to today. There will be strong support for the favourite. Hopefully resulting in the price of Royal Flynn being pushed out. Im hopeful of a big run

Re: Leopardstown 28/12 1235 Royaldou Wont be much value about Royaldou as bound to go off pretty short. Needed reappearance run when disappointedly finished 3rd but has form at a much higher grade going back to february this year when finishing 2nd behind Mr Nosie (4th in R&S Hurdle) over 2m2f. Perhaps more significantly also finished ahead of Schindlers Hunt and Blueberry Boy who were 1st and 23d in grade 1 chase at this track 2 days ago. 130 Cailin Alainn She could be very special. Has not put a foot wrong in 3 starts over fences after being a very smart hurdler. Won Grade 1 Drinmore chase at Fairhouse nicely on 6 Dec ahead of subsequent grade 1 winner Schindlers Hunt. Opposes 3 more Drinmore rivals today and they should not pose much threat. Only horse to challenge would be Patsy Hall but in all honesty Cailin Alainn would be my NAP of the day. 200 Celestial Wave I dont make this choice easily, and its even harder to make after watching how close Rosaker pushed Brave Inca in the Hattons Grace, and how far ahead of Al Eile and Asian Maze he was on that occasion, however I feel that this is the trip that Celestial Wave , a good performer over 2m4, has been dying out for and we will see the best of her today. On the weights You would believe Rosaker had the edge but having watched how good Celestial Wave is at the end of each of her races makes me believe the extra half mile will be more suited to her and is my choice. Also worth notiicing that her last run was in beating Southern Vic who goes in the grade 1 Lexus Chase at 235. 235 Beef Or Salmon A corker of a race with 3 real live chances(Beef or Salmon, War Of Attrition and L'ami), maybe 4 if the Listener can get involved. WOA hasnt fired on all cylinders yet since returning this season and has been beaten by B or S and In Compliance. His only success this season has been a success over Watson Lake who clearly didnt stay 2m6. L'ami has had 1 Uk run this season when finishing behind the awesome Kauto Star (17l) and B or S (1l) in the Betfair chase at Haydock. Both these horses have notably finshed behind Beef or Salmon this season and I see no reason for either reversing that form. He loves the track..revels in the conditions and has beaten Best Mate (2004) and W.O.A(2005) in his previous 2 victories in this race. My choice for this race, believeing it will be run to suit him is Beef or Salmon

Re: Thursdays Bankers
Thanks pal. Im failry sure she will as she has finished all her races either going away or with a good turn of foot.:welcome to R&R I like your selection. Just hope she stays the extra 1/2 mile :hope -
Re: Thursdays Bankers Agree Lennon is a good thing tomorrow, price way too short for me though. I make my selection as Calain Alainn in the Grade 1 Powers Whiskey Novice Chase - 130 Leopardstown She was a smart hurdler who hasnt put a foot wrong in 3 starts over timber so far this season and I take her to get the better of Patsy Hall. A chaser to follow in my opinion :hope

Re: Chepstow 27/12
I watched it and put £5 on. Recouped my losses from earlier and also have it doubled with Goodbye Mr Simon in the next race (£3 bet), so have £24 going onto that race :hopeanyone who saw the preview on BBC2 with Alan King should have put a few quid on the winner!! I didnt!!:wall Naunton brook led all the way until 3 out & couldnt stay on for a place finishing 5th:@ -
Re: Kauto Star.
Pattern developing is. All wins on flat tracks. Undulations of Cheltenham will be tougher but if this horse gets around..nothing will beat it.Very good horse, but I don't think it will win the Gold Cup. Jumping is a bit dodgy, and Cheltenham is a much tougher course, also there will be a big field. Opinions?? -
Re: Kempton 26/12 Initial reaction from Kempton for me today was disappointment because I had Boychuk, Afsoun and Monkerhostin in 3 doubles and a treble. However. One thing to take from the day for me was the performance of Exotic Dancer, who for me definitely has a grade 1 win in him at some point. Certainly one to follow.
