  2. Re: UEFA Europa League » Dec 03 Huge interest in Fulham - CSKA Sofia, eh? ;) Do we even know if Fulham are interested in Europa League? It will be very hard for them to qualify - they need to win tonight and then win at Basel, which would be pretty hard. If you want to qualify from the EL group, you don't send a weak squad away against the weakest link (CSKA) - this was must win for Fulham and they missed their golden chance. And yet, they were motivated enough to win at home against Basel, a side that I rate quite highly. If I had to make a bet, I would go for Under 2.5 (CSKA are not exactly prolific scorers in EL) or maybe a 2:0 correct score. Good luck!

If you wonder why odds for Basel dropped so fast - today CSKA coach suspended 9 of his players because of poor performance and behaviour' date= so CSKA will be with a strange squad in Basel.
Update: 3 (key) players are back in the squad for the Basel match. CSKA is in a terrible state - they play horribly losing matches in local championship and in Europe. There was a fight between players in the dressing room. The coached accused 9 players of drinking and partying too much and then suspended them. But then the owners let 3 of them join the squad for the Basel match. The rest will return to the squad for the next match. Meanwhile a few of the players received a proper beating in a bar. Pure madness. Basel is a decent team anyway. If Basel want to win, they will win easily.
  4. Re: Champions League » Tuesday Oct 20

Rangers v Unirea Urziceni (Tuesday 7.45pm) If Rangers are to harbour any realistic hopes of qualifying for the knockout phase of the Champions League, then a victory in this match seems essential. With Stuttgart facing back-to-back matches with an in-form Sevilla, Rangers must believe that two wins against the weakest side in the group is a must.
"Weakest opponent in the group" might be more appropriate. Currently Rangers sit at the bottom of the group, if only by goal difference. Just joking ;)
  5. Re: Champions League » Oct 20/21

As for Debreceni and Fiorentina' date=' it shld be a comfortable win by the italian team. Truth as it is, [b']the Italian league has much contest as compared to the Hungarian league. After watching their performance over Liverpool, actually, they have great potential. Debreceni has little champions league experience and Fiorentina should be able to over power them. Watch out for Gilardino and Mutu, both of them should turn Debreceni belly up tonight.
I wonder if Gilardino is suspended for this match? Yesterday UEFA's web site said he will miss the game, now this info is gone... There are rumours that Jovetic may start on the bench and he's a key player for Fiorentina. I agree the difference in class should be huge and the Italians have a real chance to get through the next phase with the home win against Liverpool so no questions on their motivation. Debreceni are very dangerous when shooting from a long distance though.
  6. Re: UEFA Europa League 4/6 August 2009/2010

Cherno More vs PSV Eindhoven The odds for Cherno at my local is very very tempting at 4.5. PSV had a shocker of a start to the season when they were held 3-3 at home to newly promoted side VVV Venlo. PSV were 2-0 up then conceded 2 very sloppy goals. They scored a 3rd and instead of shutting shop they got cocky and conceded again. Going away to Bulgaria is not going to be easy for them. Altough they are 1-0 up they will not sit back. I can personally see PSV trying to get a away goal and then seeing the game off. I'm going for a Cherno +1 Handicap. If anyone can post some team news that would be really great. Thanks guys.
Playmaker Alex and defender Diakov will miss the match for Cherno More due to injuries. Alex is a huge loss as he has great skills and experience. The match will be played on artificial grass - as far as I know both teams are not used to playing on it.
  7. Re: UEFA Europa League » 2009-2010 ( 28-30 July ) I found a nice value bet: Cherno More to score first against PSV (odds 5.5 with bet365) ;) Cherno More is a nice team on par with Levski and CSKA Sofia and they are not afraid to play away in Europe - two draws with Macabi Netanya and Stuttgart last season. And they scored first against Stuttgart, admittedly the Germans had won 2:1 away in the first leg, so they weren't focused. Odds for PSV are definitely too low, I can see them winning with a single goal margin... but a draw wouldn't be a miracle too.

  8. Re: Uefa Champions League Qualifiers 28/29 July

Levadia - Debrecen 2 @ 2' date=60 ...Now, if they want to take this hurdle, Levadia must show some quality upfront...
I don't think so. I expect Levadia to sit back and defend, their main goal is to keep a clean sheet at home and then score a goal in Hungary. The match can go either way, I don't expect many goals (Levadia lacks the firepower of Kalmar) and I would put my money on the draw.
  9. Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march ) I had a look at the under/over odds for today's matches and most of them have really low odds on under. Including the Romania - Serbia match and I think we have a pretty good chance to see goals in this one. I wouldn't say defence is the best part of either team. Serbia's qualifiers accounted for 12 goals in 4 matches, 8 goals in 3 matches for Romania (for and against). I can certainly see value in odds above 2.3 for Over 2.5 goals.

  10. Re: World Cup 2010 ( 28-29 march )

If you still can' date=' bet against Bulgaria. :unsure Unfortunately our team lost Berbatov and thus its offense.. we do not have a decent defense for a decade now and today news are that the goalkeeper has serious personal problems of some sort, he will be missing the next game and he was under question for the game tonight. As much as Bulgaria has always been pretty much a good, unpredictable team, tonight this only gives punters better (value) odds. Anything near 1.9 is nothing but value, Bulgaria will loose 3 out of 4 such games.[/quote'] Bulgaria's starting lineup: Dimitar Ivankov - Stanislav Manolev, Ilian Stoyanov, Igor Tomasic, Zhivko Milanov - Stanislav Angelov, Stilian Petrov, Dimitar Telkiiski, Blago Georgiev - Ivelin Popov, Dimitar Rangelov Lots of missing players for Bulgaria but Ireland are not world beaters either. If Bulgaria had a decent keeper and good defence, they would have looked good for a draw. Goalie Ivankov is reportedly in poor form and defence doesn't inspire confidence. Midfield looks decent though, but only defence-wise. A one-goal margin victory for Ireland or a draw.
  11. Re: Bulgarian APFG 20-21/9 1.57 on Botev to lose screams value indeed. Botev notoriously poor away, showing nothing particularly promising so far this season, referees helped them last match (or rather tried to take two points away from their opponents Litex) so no gifts this match... And the promoted Loko Mezdra kicked off the season in style with two home victories and 5:0 goal difference. Real odds should be around 1.3, I think.
