Many thanks to Ian for his regular screenshots, and to Helen for the table updates, to Punters Lounge for their continued financial support, but most of all to Kevin for keeping Paul off top spot yesterday as (by my calculations) we would have had a tie for 1st if he had won and I don’t know what happens in the event of a tie.

Good fun, as always, with none of the vitriol found in other online poker games.  I don’t understand why more of us don’t try it.

I hope someone can get a screenshot of the result.  One of the disadvantages of playing on an iPad is that you can’t see the lobby of the tournament, either during or after the end.  You also can’t see the tables once you’re eliminated.

Very sad news.  Time spent with Paul was never boring, and the way that he befriended PL members of all ages and types was exemplary.  He was not someone to stick just to his own mini clique of moderators at social events, and the way he welcomed Rob in to the PL gang was definitely appreciated.  He loved being involved in banter, but was prepared to take it as well as give it.  We will all miss him in the flesh, but his spirit will live on.  Rest in Peace Paul, a top man.

I will be playing both events, with Rob joining me in the evening for the NLHE event, having prepared for an evening of concentration and drinking by going up (and coming back down) Snowdon earlier in the day.  As with Hen, it is the meeting up with friends more than the tournaments that is the biggest draw.
