charlton - stoke
i don't believe stoke will go up and after last weekend it's become obvious to me they will be middle position team this season. the club success was built by tony pulis years ago when they were difficult to beat and physical. i think that's gone now. i'm looking at charlton to win after confidence boosting win last week
birmingham - bristol city
i just absolutely hate birmingham. i've been saying it for long time this team is nothing special and have been playing above themselves for too long. they are destined for 15th position or lower. when you look at the stat from last week you can see they didn't f**** all to deserve their victory last week.i'm willing to back bristol city
cardiff - luton
i like luton confidence. they gameplan is always to try score but i am sure cardiff will want to win after last weekend's result and be too strong
qpr - huddersfield
i got to be on qpr after their impressive start. i think it's time to get over how bad qpr was last season. they are worth backing after impressive and confidence will be high to follow it up with another victory
fulham - blackburn
fulham need to find their scoring boots after not getting on the scoresheet last time but blackburn find themselves under pressure already after not winning at home last weekend. i'm will to back the hosts but i would be surprised if blackburn turn up with a point to prove
derby - swansea
i don't know if swansea can better their terrible away form or shake it off this season. i guess it remains to be see but derby started with a win over huddersfield and i got a feeling this will be close. i am willing to try a draw

lampard is relying a lot of younger players who of course are not as established or recognisable yet but chelsea will still have solid quality to compete. i think we will see some players establish themselves in the chelsea team this season. it's hard to read into first round matches in premier league but i am sure man utd will want to start with a victory and impose their attacking style. this is the season where solskjaer has to get it right with man utd. i think it will be open attacking game and i see man utd winning in the end but both teams scoring MAN UTD WIN AND BOTH TEAMS TO SCORE, 3-4 TOTAL GOALS
i have a strong feeling tottenham will lose points or at least be run close by aston villa in any case. it would be really bad if tottenham doesn't pick up three points. their chances of title would take a massive knock. they are capable to win but i just got a feeling aston villa will get back at them especially if tottenham get ahead. aston villa has nothing to lose in this fixture and i am sure they will be eager to get going with it. i expect another open game where four or five goals go in. ASTON VILLA OR DRAW, 3-4 TOTAL GOALS
i read recently that roy hodgson think's he needs five more players in the squad. that may hint they he is not happy with the squad strength or depth. it's going to be tough season for them as zaha want's out and if he is not fully focused then the hosts will struggle. marco silva has a lot to prove with everton this year. i though he managed to improve everton defensively in closing stages of last season but now he has had whole summer to make them defensively even better. EVERTON WIN, 0-2 FINAL RESULT

i watched qpr highlights on tv and they could be good this season. i heard they brought in 15 new players. i guess that goes for most teams. it's going to take few rounds to get a good idea about how good teams are.

Stoke stuffed my acca, so carrying on the same as last season!
it looks that way. the same teams are having same problems and not much has changed lol

there are some good games to dig into. i think stevenge are overpriced. salford are in the division and they are going to get tested. it's always narrowest of margins strength wise in this division and anyone can beat anyone and for me stevenage are worth backing
crewe had a good end of the season but plymouth will surely be ambitious this season and hoping to start the season well. it's difficult to side with any teams in this division but i am leaning on plymouth
-
bradford was very bad last season and cambridge wasn't far behind. their struggles were noted last season but i would give them the benefit of doubt at home.
-
i think after couple of rounds we will get a good idea about each team but looking at the first round games in championship, i am favouring teams as follows
fulham look the better team especially going forward. they can take barnsley here and get a win
blackburn always seem to impress when at home. their issue before wasn't scoring but keeping the goals out. i like them here to win as charlton are hit and miss especially away
brentford are always capable at home and i fancy them here. birmingham played above themselves last season. they had a transfer ban obviously and aging squad
stoke like fulham could be the team to beat. i think they will be aiming for promotion and simply has to win their home games. qpr was well below average last season and i don't expect them to get anything here
swansea to win who can be pretty effective on home ground. depending if this match is tight or open, regardless i think swansea can do the job and gain three points

i think liverpool will have a tough game against norwich just because their pre season has been tough. i know they didn't lose a home match last season but i think a 2-2 may be possible
west ham will be playing for a draw without a doubt. pellegrini will try to close all the spaces and take a point so it remains to be see how much man city become frustrated
i'm taking sheff utd to grab a win in open scoring game. i just think bournemouth likes to take teams on at home but are not strong defensively to keep anyone out
-
i haven't followed the news so i got no idea who has recruited well and which team's appear weaker. things were chaotic last season so i am hoping for better this year and interested to see which teams will manage to win the first rounds. they are always important and based on my assumptions from last season i think a few may start with home victories.
-
i always fancied nimes in france second division but my feeling says monaco will win. monaco cannot afford to lose anyhow and i've seen falcao play recently so i feel he may score and help them win
-
i've been impressed with ac milan in last game. they seem to play with a lot of motivation and energy. they are still not cutting edge material but they should beat fiorentina who are definitely mediocre team

if cardiff manage to shut down zaha could win but honestly crystal palace are ruthless on counter attack. this is a match they can absolutely destroy cardiff on counter attack. i hope i'm wrong but cardiff need to score first and let crystal palace come onto them. they are useless then
-
i agree on eintracht frankfurt winning. i just don't think chelsea will be able to keep them out but for me i'm going to try both teams to score in both halves. i'm going to lump on £100 and if it comes off i will get back £1500.

But Messi will be playing tonight, won't he? (got some insider info? )
honestly barcelona are one man team at the moment and if liverpool manage to shut messi out which they will they are there for the taking
-
i don't think liverpool will lose tonight. they can get a draw. barcelona are useless without messi and no way liverpool will sit back tonight. i am expecting them to score twice
-
bournemouth are value at home. they may not look defensively solid but they make up for it in attack so i can see them scoring one or two goals. i think tottenham are reaching the end of the season in very tired and sluggish form. i just don't think after injuries and midweek champions league match they will be at their best.
i wonder if the premiership title race is going to be decided here when newcastle host liverpool. benitez always set out with five defenders at the back and when liverpool needs every ounce of energy to breakdown that kind of team it's tough and frustrating especially as they will have to give their maximum against barcelona on wednesday. i can see this match being 2-2 or 3-2 to newcastle.

i think i have pinned down what is going to happen in these games. i just think barcelona and tottenham are in a bit of a wobble so i see guests winning both games, that is liverpool winning 1-2 and ajax 1-2 which should make for an interesting second leg
-
yeah banker all day eintracht frankfurt
-
the last team i would be backing is villareal. they got defensive problems and huesca drew barcelona recently so don't count them out getting at least a point
-
i think schalke will probably cause an upset against dortmund
