  1. Looking like a 10-0 at the moment, shame he missed the 147 chance earlier.
  2. Well, I guess 10-2 qualifies as a good pasting. Ronnie still not playing that great so could be in trouble next round if Anda/Wilson take advantage early doors.
  3. Sorry, my fault for just reusing the 2023 thread but thought I wouldn't clutter up the forum more than necessary:-) Both Murph and Carter might have a good run in the worlds this year.
  4. I hope Ronnie gives Carter a good beating in the 1/4's but I reckon Ali has a great chance after what happened at the Masters in January.
  5. He should have beaten Hossein yesterday if he had just dropped the black in to lead by 33 points with only the colours left!
  6. Ronnie was awesome, did he shave his arms for the tournament as he seemed a lot less hairy than I've seen him before?
  7. Well, they didn't finish until after 3 am but then again they didn't start until almost 2 am!
  8. Cracking match between Selby and Allen going down to the final black. 3 more matches tonight so they'll be finishing about 2 am local time if they're lucky!
  9. Higgins sure got close with 15 reds/blacks but landed almost touching the yellow else I think he would at least have had a shot at the golden ball!
  10. Thanks for kicking this off. Certainly a bit of a novelty event but everyone will be gunning for the half-a-million dollar 167 break prize! It all looked a bit bleak this afternoon when all the players were introduced as there were about 10 people in the crowd but apparently, the prelim rounds were very last minute so the real crowd will be in this evening for the proper start of the tournament. The golden ball is going to be in the most difficult position so it would be highly unlikely to see anyone win the bonus but it adds a little spice to the event.
  11. I hope you didn't give in to temptation, I've never seen Moody play before but I wasn't impressed by what I saw today. Luca seems to be on fire and it would be a good final between him and Higgins:-)
  12. Might as well resurrect this thread since the Welsh started today, let's see if Luca's miserable season continues though if he loses to Jun he should really retire! Judd would rather go on holiday and Ronnie comes up with another lame excuse when he would have had a decent chance of cementing his number-one ranking this week.
  13. Might be a bit of value there I guess... edit* turned out to be a great call as he wins 5-2
  14. Amazing call on Shelbay!
  15. Even Ronnie seemed happy with his performance against Ding, let's hope for a good final tomorrow.
  16. I hope he makes it 8-8-8 in May!
  17. Match is back on at 5-6, Ali's little bumhole must be twitching now as we enter a very important spell of the final.
  18. Your bets are looking good at 5-3 ahead, I'm still hoping that Ali crumbles tonight but he's got a great chance to lift his first major.
  19. He can't complain about the chances he(Mark) had to make it closer, hope Ali gets stuffed by Ronnie tomorrow! 17-1 H2H doesn't bode well for him. Reminds me of that funny tennis quote by Vitis Geralitis about getting beaten 17 times in a row.
  20. Can't play much better than 3 centuries in a row, would love an Allen comeback though and I agree about the plant in the earlier frame!
  21. How did Shaun miss that last red?! Anyway, hoping for a 6-3 or 6-4 Allen win tonight but if he's a bit off(Selby really should have done him last night) then Carter certainly has a chance.
  22. Nope. The crowd got their money's worth, what a titanic battle as Allen squeaks through. Selby was very patchy though. The 147 was great as he'd shown nothing up till then, also could have gone 5-1 down and that would have been curtains.
  23. What the hell is going on in frame 7, a comedy of errors!
  24. Agreed, he just won in Macau so hopefully will continue his run of form. It would be great if Ronnie wins his eighth Masters this weekend.
  25. Shame about the missed 147 when the balls were perfect but Jack continues his good run of form from Macau and wins easily in the end.
