Marathon trip of 3.5 furlongs on good ground. Always very tricky to predict but shall have a go.

Top rated potentially won’t stay the trip but he’s got good form over 3.1-3.2 and won’t have any issue with the ground with Brian Hughes on board . The Two Amigos is a proven stayer but seems to get picked off by one or two. He races off a winnable mark though. I do have concerns over the going for him. All About Joe is one of several who is unexposed but 7/2 looks skinny . 
 
I’ll split stakes on top two as they are neck and neck . 3 points each . 

Good luck , Cheltenham , Aintree , Wincanton & Limerick all live on the telly box next weekend , NT.Davies usually has his string readied for Cheltenham's first couple of meets .

Disappointing day for the classy events at Ascot; even Baaeed got beat at 1/4.  I thought I had my bases covered in the 3.20 after the gutsy performance by Trueshan in the first.  Unusual for two top notch horses to get beat.  Although a blank day for me I guess the connections of the fancied horses must be feeling very glum indeed.  -14.30 makes my MTD -49.97 & YTD -223.95
Kempton and Sedgefield go later with some class racing afoot.  May possibly find a race or two to bet on
 

Umbrigado wins at 5/1  returns 25 points profit
