    £4.38 back for me.
I think we're just a tad shy of meeting the burden of proof with the sample size here!
Tiny stakes for starters and I'm guessing the winners weren't on the same day. Multis increase your edge if you've got one, L15 with a one winner bonus increases it further. All the rest is just luck, perception, prejudice and your willingness to handle the variance in results when backing multis as opposed to singles. Singles categorically not the optimum approach for anyone who has an edge but that's not to say it isn't a legitimate personal preference.

    staked £3.00
    returns £8.12
    weekly running total :
    total staked £9.00
    total returns £14.01
so I'm up £5.01 despite 18/1 & 14/1 winners & a 40/1 placed so my theory of backing singles either win or each way Is & always will be far more profitable than multis but hey , it's just small stake fun .

I was going to give up my place in the KO Cup to the next one on the list but forgot to notify @MCLARKE, so i will just pull out here and @Carole-dawney can continue, she will do a better job anyway! Packing it in a little earlier this year as my dog had 7 puppies 4 weeks ago and they're really hard work and i'm knackered. So good luck everyone over the jumps this winter and will hopefully be back in the spring.

A bit like @Zilzalian, i tend to skip past sam's posts although interested in the science, it's more of a time thing. I have always thought he was running some sort of experiment (paper trading) hence no p/l and was not actually betting on the selections, thought he said that way back, but i might be mistaken. Glad you took up the challenge, i've always been in the corner of picking winners of certain races shouldn't be that difficult, (although my Lucky 15 balance this year would beg to differ!) especially if you pick 2 or 3 in those races, but of course, the odds will be too low for me, but finding them at double figure odds is the real challenge and one i still enjoy chasing. Anyway, good luck with the challenge.

It's a bit tongue in cheek really, I could just pick a favourite in every race and meet the challenge but I would never actually bet that way. All the selections are actual system selections and all are forecast at 4/1 or above so it is still a bit of a challenge.

Been busy lately so missed this interesting debate. I personally tend to just scroll past Sams posts as they are far to "busy" for me, but that's not to denigrate him or his posts. But take on board @MCLARKE and @harry_rag points about basically dominating the site which i personally am aware of when i posts stuff so restrain myself.
I will say the physics angle free energy et al has been well documented and there have been many books (American) written on this angle, Nick Mordin used to highlight them a lot in his systems columns, I remember reading one about anaerobic and aerobic energy which was quite interesting as regarding filly's and mares, he also pointed to studies about gambling addictions and how to overcome them by backing 2 or more horses in every race and as he says there is no such thing as a gambling problem just a losing problem.
I would say to Sam though if you are not keeping records then it seems to go against your "scientific" approach which suggests to me that you are simply relaying 3rd party information.
Anyway it is all interesting stuff to debate.

Probably best we draw a line under it and move on, focus all our energies on finding winners again. Shouldn’t take too much give and take both ways for us all to rub along.
Only fair to acknowledge that most people chose not to enter the fray and would no doubt prefer the resumption of normal service.
With a bit of luck my next active foray into the racing forum can be to thank someone for tipping me up one of my occasional racing winners, run the next lucky 15 competition or explain the maths of yet another bet type in tedious detail that only @MCLARKE enjoys.
