"If, as you say, your betting is profitable" is what you said. Apologies if i read too much into that. It's hard, well i find it hard, to get my point across writing like this. I'm more of a face to face guy, sitting in a pub with a pint and a bag of nuts, a bit of banter and p*ss taking, putting the world to right and having a good old argument/discussion, what ever you prefer, i miss it... Anyway, no hard feelings here Harry and sorry again if i mis-understood.

Now i've got that bee out me bonnet, the coin toss saga was trying to show (very badly as it turned out) a cash out scenario that linked a possible Lucky 31, Torques "when you cash out you are actually losing" and when you "don't cash out and it loses, you actually win", taking a lesser amount from a friend as opposed to a bookie, the fact that i'm not looking to shaft the bookies and stick it to them and i'm quite happy to be classed a loser walking away with £250 in my pocket that wasn't there 5 minutes earlier. I think you guys are saying that if i keep doing what i'm doing, i'm going to miss out on that big pay day when that last horse wins and if that's the case, fair enough and of course, that's good advise. But just to make another couple of points clear, these c/o bets i do are a rare thing, so many things have to fall in place for me to do one, maybe a dozen in my 6 months of betting, at the most maybe 16, but probably closer to 8-10. Then you can cut that in half because one of my "bankers" loses which then ruins my plan. The other point is that "loser" horse that you flagged up and yes, i was surprised i didn't get plenty of stick for that. It's very specific that last pick. It's got to be a horse that's being backed and the price is falling, but i can't work out why, hence, i had it down as a loser. Risky, because chances are it's being backed for a reason and can i get the price before it drops. Bet365 are good for not following suit as quickly as other bookies and i can normally get on with the bigger price with them. Of course this also means if it turns out to be a steamer and possibly becomes favorite, i might have to let it ride, but if one of my bankers have let me down, i could still end up getting something decent back if it actually won. I haven't done many of these bets this year because i've been trying something else and i will sometimes have a L-15/31 running along side the accas as well, like the example from earlier. I know this will still make no sense to most of you, i sometimes wonder myself. So let's leave it at that. I will say one more thing. Do you footie guys know how hard it is to get just 3 winners in the same 15/31? Getting 4 and 5 is a rare thing even for the experienced guys on here, never mind someone like me...

Ok, so let me start with the serious matter. I'm a bit "old school" when it comes to the vulgar subject of money and wealth and believe it should be a private thing. I might have, on occasions, got a little excited with a nap comp winner (or something else) and boasted about it in a post, i can't really remember if i have or not, but i'm fairly sure i've never revealed the amount i won. Only within the last 18 months have i posted the amount that i bet with (small stakes) and printed bet slips with stakes and winnings or losses. (this came about because of the Lucky 15 big meeting comps) I will admit, that it made me a little uncomfortable revealing such details at first, but i feel a lot safer now that i'm among friends and on a trusted site. I have an i-phone which i rarely use and even then, only for texts and calls. I am on NO social media platforms and if you googled my name you would assume that i didn't exist, and that's just how i like it. My profit/loss is my business and i don't like having my honesty questioned because i don't like to show off my winnings. Yes i know, you only have to go back a few posts where i have posted my winnings on a Lucky 15, but that was to do with what i was discussing and if i had just typed it manually i'm sure there would have been even more doubters. I have already mentioned that i don't bet to get rich, it's just a sideline to my horse racing hobby. It is also not like me to get bothered whether people believe me or not, i know i am an honest man and i don't give a sh*t what people think of me and although this is by no means 100% proof, it's all i'm willing to offer, so i am going to try and copy and post my monthly tips from another competition that i enter that shows some facts and figures, but i will admit, 10% of them were probably too short for me to have a single bet on and there would have been some bets i had just before a race that are not included in these figures (some won, some lost) but i would have placed a real bet on all others. These are all singles to win or ew, no L-15's, doubles, trebles etc.

I've used a very bad example of trying to cover a few points at once. I didn't say it was a good decision and i didn't say it was good value and in real life, i wouldn't of taken the extra £50. He didn't have to play the last toss at all and in my book, if a friend is offering me £50 because he clearly doesn't want to lose another £200, i'd call him a tw*t, tell him he shouldn't gamble if he can't afford to lose and give him his money back! I don't think i disagree with anything you've said H, but might need to explain a little better, but somethings come up and i might have to reply tomorrow or Friday. And who you calling a tosser! 🤣

I just seemed to remember something about it and you mentioning it in the speed ratings thread just jogged my memory. I tend to check in every now and again on here through the winter and maybe i noticed some of your picks last year, or you just might have mentioned it in another post somewhere, either way, i was just interested as i still like to follow some flat races through the winter, even though i don't bet on them and you do quite well over there don't you? Paper trading on flat races before April/May might help me get my eye in quicker and hopefully get me off to a better start as i keep getting off to a slow start when i start up again. I don't even know how regular they are over there, is it similar to Hong Kong, two meetings a week?

Yea, i'm starting to see a lot of you guys are all about sticking it to them bookies. I guess that's what i'm missing because i don't look at them in that way, but i see what your saying and understand your point of view. I look at them like a savings account, in which i deposit my money in April and then realize that in April i have to pay them debit interest! 😱 But then in May, June, July and August, it starts paying credit interest. 🤑 Then it turns into an ATM come September and my wife becomes a current account! 🤣 Anyway, keep wacking in those Lucky 15's my friend and good luck this winter. PS - Do you post your middle eastern bets on here?

Only a fool doesn't listen to advice and i will take any on offer, so thanks for yours. I've been lucky enough to have had some very experienced horse racing experts from this site share their wisdom and insights with me and i have taken it all on board. Of course, i have to find my own way in this game, no point in following other peoples tips blindly and also, where's the fun in that! I take some advice, leave some alone, but like i said, i always listen to it. Also, i just want to see if i've got this right. If me and you decided to toss a coin up to 5 times, double or quits and starting at £25 and after 4 tosses i had £200 and you said "here's £50 and i don't want to toss again" and i took it, by your definition, that makes you the winner because we didn't have a 5th coin toss and me the loser...because i can live with that!

I'm guessing this is meant for @Zilzalian and @MCLARKE, but i agree, i've really enjoyed looking through all your ratings and then mixing them all together to come to a over-all value selection. Then again i'm not the one doing all the work and i guess it's time consuming putting all that together. Good ol' @harry_rag.

So here is the down side. I believe i cashed out after the second race if i remember rightly and that was because Wahraan is a little tinker and doesn't always want to run and is always away very very slowly, as was the case again that night. But it's such a good horse and i think made up about 20 lengths and came 2nd. I wish i could find the others because i can't remember the amounts, but i do remember making more than the L-15. Also, i started by saying "here is the down side" but as i said, it doesn't bother me, i just look at the £4 stake and then look at what i've turned that into, £63, that'll do for me. I'm still new to all this compared to you guys on here and i'm not as good as @Zilzalian doing Lucky 15's and don't have speed figures like him and @richard-westwood. @MCLARKE is getting his speed figures going now as well and i will never be as steady as him who just seems to print his own money and openly shares his p/l records with all to see. So many more decent tipsters on here and i'm sorry i can't name you all, but you know who you are and i've made some good on-line friends on here as well. So good luck guys and girls and have a good winter, whether you cash out or not!

This shows what won and placed and the last one, Toca Madera lost. (sorry couldn't get it all on the screen) If i remember correctly, after Fantasy Believer won it was offering about £680. TM's price then dropped and it offered £750, so i knew i would lose about £500 if it lost, but this was my L-15 and as i said, i don't cash out on those. Although, as i said, this is not one of my typical acca with a horse i think will lose the last leg, it actually turned into one because this was the last racing league meeting and not only had Wales won, but Saffie had also won the jockeys title as well, so although i like the horse she's riding, just how hard would she be trying knowing that both titles were in the bag. Not very hard as it turned out and it didn't even place. I had already cashed out on my 3-fold before the 8.10 winner ( yes i know, one too early as it turned out) and before the last race i cashed out on the 4-fold and i think the 2-fold as i didn't think the jockey would be trying in that last race and because of what the horse was entered in, didn't want another few lb's added either. I must have made 3 of the acca's with another firm because i can only find 3-fold on 365, or it might just be me being stupid, but i will attempt to print that up as well, just to show the down side of it.
