220 NA: Sassanian We have another 3yo race today and it doesnt get any better than yesterdays event, Sassanian is fav but although has the ability he simply doesnt seem to enjoy the jumping game and wouldnt back him with money. At 7/4 must be a lay for me.

Re: Lay Of The Day Selections ~ Aug 31st 3.20 Newton Abbot: Ballyvesey 1pt win lay Strong favourite for this novice chase event this afternoon but not bombproof IMO. Has improved for switch to fences and is now rated 120, however has two very interesting horses in opposition in Openditch from David Pipe's yard and ex-Nicholl's trained Hell's Bay - both were far superior animals over hurdles than the jolly and if either take to fences then would prove very tough to beat in receipt of 6lbs from the lay. At 6/5, has to go down as s lay IMO.
