Re: Football draws

Very impressive Rick121212' date=' have you backtested your system? Any resukts from previous seasons/divisions to share. Interested to see how this shapes up over 1,000 bets.[/quote'] In theory it has kind of been back tested. Because I use stats from last season, with a section of the odds reaching Over 33% (for example when the home side was between the odds 1.91-2.5 there were draws 37% of the time) it has been back tested because the percentage is high enough. It's as simple as that.

Re: Football draws Hi Rick, I think backing the draw is indeed a very good choice as many people tend to overlook this market. Just wanted to ask you if you've taken a look at the Portuguese Liga Orangina (the second tier in Portugal). So far this season the draw percentage in this league is an astonishing 39.29%, the highest among the professional European leagues. In 2009/10 its draw percentage was 32.08%, only behind the Italian Serie C1/B (36.6%), French Ligue 2 (32.98%) and Belgian div 2 (32.16%). In 2008/09 it was 31.25%, only behind the Italian Serie C1/A and the Italian Serie B. In 2007/08 it was 33.75%, behind the Italian C1/B and the Spanish Segunda B Group 3. Just throwing it out there as the Portuguese second division is usually highly competitive, with no teams really standing out from each other, and this is reflected in the stats. Thought it might be of interest to you or others.

I am interested mate, but the leagues I've chosen are because I have statistics regarding the home team's odds and this league. If I had stats for the Portuguese league and the home odds then maybe it would be included. Appreciate the suggestion though. :ok

Re: Football draws I have a few games for today, but I'm finishing posting the papertrail on here. I'm going to do some more research into the results I have and maybe more papertrailing but I want to put money into this and clearly there is a lot of potential here with me making 318.60 profit since mid-August.

Re: Football draws Hi Rick. Fairly new to PL,reading thru your thread it seems that you may have found something interesting.I see from your last post that you were going to research your method in more detail. Do you intend to re-post,or is this a system for private use only(i dont blame you after your tremendous results to date)? Good luck anyway. :cheers

Re: Football draws I did quite a lot of research and back-testing and actually did use real money for a few weeks, losing a lot, and it doesn't work. The results look extremely impressive but they won't continue. Although I'd like to think there is a way to make money from draws, I'm afraid it's becoming increasingly unlikely except with sheer luck, like here.

Re: Football draws Hi Rick121212, I followed your thread :ok for some time and decided to do my own research on stats and odds, and some betting. Actually, I think that the system works. But I believe the profit is seasonal. For some weeks I had profit and then I started losing money, and gave it up, as the draws become more irregular and scarse. At the beggining of the season, teams play safe, don't want to lose points, so there are more draws. I believe that right now everything is still opened for the teams on the majority of leagues, so they do all they can to win the games. Not so many injuries yet, also. So less draws. Maybe in a few months, draw betting will be profitable again, as by then pretty much would be allready decided leaguewise.:hope Cheers

That's interesting. And I like the thinking although it is maybe slightly subjective. Out of interest, what times were best for draws? Did your research show this? Are some months better than others?
