Re: NH Novice Watch 2009/10 405 Sth: 87 Admiral Dundas, 87 Blue Eyed Eloise, 86 Freedom Fire, 86 Apache Dawn Very tight race on ratings, Tatoman was also rated 87 before being pulled out this morning. Freedom Fire has a penalty for winning a softish race and was well beaten with the extra weight last time, wears blinkers now so maybe not straight forward. The other winner in the race Blue Eyed Eloise followed up her victory with a decent fourth in a handicap and has done nothing wrong. Admiral Dundas has ran well in both starts and the form in both have held up too, second to Dreamwalk last time and that horse has won since, he gets the weight concession and must be a threat. Apache Dawn and Rebel Swing have small EW chances but may need handicaps. Bet; 405 Sth: Admiral Dundas 1pt EW (4/1 Skybet) 405 Sth: Blue Eyed Eloise 1pt EW (9/2 Skybet)

Re: Southwell - Friday 23rd July 4;40 Cortinas @ Southwell - Course and distance winner who won here by 4 lengths last November on the same ground as today.Stepped up in class for last two races and looked a bit out of its depth.Trainer C J Mann has booked a good jockey in Noel Fehily who is riding for the first time this season and looks a good bet at 10/1. 0.5pt e/w @ 10/1 Bluesq

Re: Southwell - Friday 23rd July GABRESELASSIE 2.55 Southwell. Place Lay. Won well last time, but goes over 3 miles today which I think is a bit too far for him and also goes up 8lb in weight. Not a strong race, so may get away with it, but if others do their homework, then they should make sure this is a big stamina test. McCoy always dangerous to place lay, but I feel if he gets beat today, then it'll be a case of not finding much late on and finishing out the frame. Anyhow, weighing it all up, the 3/5 (1.6) about placing looks very short, irresepctive of the end result.
