Re: Darts Showdown Depends which Phil Taylor turns up...will it the be the punishing, devastating almost supernatural darts that he's capable of or will it be the one who's playing silly buggers and just happens to surprisingly 'miss' a few too many times. The first showdown against Raymond van Barnevald on ITV was a cracker, a one hour format and Taylor thumped him 21-10 in legs. I remember that way back in 1999 sitting in a William Hill betting shop trying to work out how much England would get thumped by New Zealand in a Rugby World Cup quarter-final and seeing that Taylor was only 4/9 to beat the Dutchman. How times have changed and it's a best-priced 1/14 to beat Andy Fordham! :loon You have to remember that it's only an exhibition and it doesn't really matter about the result despite the hype (I kind the ads with the kind of mock-up heavyweight boxing set-up particularly with Andy Fordham playing up to the camera) and the £100,000 on offer, they'll want to put on a show. Taylor despite his first round KO at the World Grand Prix in what I would call was weird, I would have to agree....Fordham cannot beat Taylor. ....when Phil Taylor is in the mood to play darts, he is invincible. Mardle and Scholten? Scholten has shown some kind of better form recently and Mardle since he turned professional has seen some 'surprise' defeats. Lowe and Bristow? I'm gonna agree with you but personally, none of these matches are punting material for me. Good luck with those picks. I'm still toying whether or not to pay £9.95 to see it on Sky Box Office! :\ :rollin
