Lay Of The Day - 1st March

Re: Lay Of The Day - 1st March Wolv 4.40 - Omaruru - win lay Always a bit dicey to lay Johnston horses in maiden races at this time of year as he wins plenty of them But in this race we have Gumnd, who's already shown decent ability and has the benefit of experience, together with newcomers from Gosden and Eddery Bound to be lower odds than he should be just because he's a Johnston horse

Re: Lay Of The Day - 1st March 14:10 Wolverhampton 1pt lay Ingleby Star Did win over course and distance LTO by over a length but I feel the 6lb rise in the weights will prevent him from following up, especially with some strong opposition in the field such as Total Impact and Brierty (who I have tipped up to win the race). Has won off a mark 1lb higher on turf so he is definately still handicapped to win here and will probably be in contention inside the final furlong.

Re: Lay Of The Day - 1st March Hi all. This is my first post on the forum and I'd like to give the lay competition a go if I may. Hopefully I won't make too big a fool of myself ! Anyway, here goes. 4.20 Plumpton: LAY Portrait Royale. Plumpton has not been a happy venue in the past for this mare and in four previous visits she has been T/O, UR, PU, PU. Barni64

:welcome Barni. Don't be dis-heartened that he won, we all lay our fair share of winners. Good reasoning and stuff. Good luck in the comp and i'm sure your next one will get beaten ;)
