teaulc
just gone back on to Sky Poker as they have started doing Omaha, have to say it hasnt improved any. i was hoping as Des Duffy had taken control it would be a lot better than it is, it is slow, cumbersome and tbh a chore, the chatbox is awful, with a company as big as Sky you would have thought they would have a top notch poker site. does anyone like this software? Adetrick
Re: Sky Poker I actually don't mind the software. Deal breaker for me is that they still don't accept Neteller or Moneybookers as deposit options. It's a shame as I enjoyed the Sky Poker Tour event I played last year and wouldn't mind having a crack at qualifying again.

DesD
Re: Sky Poker There are a lot of further improvements in the pipeline and it will become a top notch site. In addition to the new website, Omaha and the Total Player programme which launched a few weeks ago, rebuys and Omaha Hi Lo should both launch this month, with a download option next month. In addition there is a project group looking at moving the base software to Action Script 3, which will make a huge difference. You will see other stability and speed related improvements very shortly. Oh, we launch Neteller this month and should have Moneybookers at the start of next month. Watch out for Sky Poker in 2010 ;)

jimmy24
Re: Sky Poker Sky Poker software is pretty bad, but there are a lot of fish on there, so perhaps worth the sacrifice.
eddy41
Re: Sky Poker Sky Poker adds NETELLER It's been a busy few months at Sky Poker. New website, Omaha been added to the mix and the addition of new shows such as Total Player and Master Cash has seen us go from strength to strength. That doesn't stop us from moving onwards and upwards though, and we're proud to announce that players are now able to top-up and transfer funds using e-Wallet provider NETELLER. GaF
Re: Sky Poker I suppose when you have these so called "pro's" on the TV channel then the standard of play is expected as they dont even have a clue what they are talking about and is cringeworthy to listen to I havent watched (or even seen) the broadcasts in a loooong time - so don't know what's happening at the moment, or know who the presenters are ..... however, if it's still made up predominantly of the ex-PNL crew, then I dont think it's fair to criticise them - they proved what they're capable of in their PNL days! The problem, as I saw it, is that PNL was genuinely focused on player education - whilst Sky poker is (or at least was) focused on mass entertainment - the same presenters from PNL were awful when they moved over to Sky because they clearly weren't allowed to be honest and say what they thought - and had to find the positives in every play and encourage the players (which maybe is good if the standard is that bad!) - the problem wasnt with the presenters, it was with the format.... jquik
Re: Sky Poker I have envercome across another site that llets multiple accounts from the same IP play in the same game' date=' if this was allowed then everyone would just have 3/4 different accounts all going at once in the same tourny with multiple screens.[/quote'] Although they tend block people from playing Cash games/SNGs, pretty much the majority of sites allow people from the same IP to play in the same MTTs. This is due to the face the table selection process is entirely random. May not seem kosher... but that's just the way it is.
