Re: Colombia » Copa Mustang (10 dec) Junior - Medellin Well it is pretty complicated to follow all S.American leagues and their sistem of league plays, but in Columbia sistem is similar like in Peru for example. During the league stage, which lasts eighteen games, each team plays against every other team once, plus an additional game against their local rival in the league. The league table is kept like a normal European league table, one point for ties and three points for a win. The top eight teams advance to the group stage, divided into 2 groups: A (1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th team) and B (2nd, 4th, 6th and 8th team). Well now is that stage and in Group A after 4 games Medellin is 1st with 10 pts, 3-1-0 record, while Junior is 2nd with 8 pts and 2-2-0 record. And those two teams will figth for first place, because first placed team will play final with first placed team from other group. In fact this game is like match point to Junior, because they already played in Medellin and drew 0-0, so if they win this one and in last round against Real Cartagena they will be 1st in group. All tickets are sold in monday, so this means more than 40.000 Junior fans will cheer for their team, and Medellin players will be in very hostile enviroment. No doubt both teams will do everything possible to win this one, but home side has big advantage at their home field. This season they have excellent 18-4-1 record with 61:21 goal difference. Probable squads: Junior: Didier Muñoz; Jailler Romero, John Valencia, Camilo Ceballos, César Fawcett; Alexánder Jaramillo, Jorge Casanova, Luis Carlos Ruiz; Norvey Orozco y Teófilo Gutiérrez. Director técnico: Julio Comesaña. Medellín: Aldo Bobadilla; Ricardo Calle, Samuel Vanegas, Leíton Jiménez, Juan David Valencia; Jhon Javier Restrepo ( Cañas), Juan Esteban Ortiz, Javier Calle (sub-18), Luis Fernando Mosquera; Felipe Pardo y Jackson Martínez. Director técnico: Leonel Álvarez. Junior @2.25 188Bet 6/10
