2.35 Fakenham Cool roxy is a CD winner and a course specialist having won 11 times round here from 20 runs and appears to be much better over big fences rather than hurdles he has been trying lately but will certainly be fit from those runs 1pt win cool roxy 11/4 paddypower 3.45 Fakenham Midnight chaser comes here with course form having won a handicap hurdle round here and was mighty impressive in handicap hurdles last year and has been found a reasonable event to contest on chase debut the good ground shouldn’t be a problem as won here on good ground. 1pt win midnight chaser 4.20 Fakenham Edgefour looks worth another chance back down in trip and slightly faster ground conditions and did win off just a 1lb higher mark admitdly in a weak affair. Laconicos is another that seems to have taken a likening to this track having always run a solid race around here and has to be consider especially since taking a step back in trip although still a maiden could potentially get a place at a nice price and maybe even first win. 0.25pt e/w edgefour 0.25pt e/w laconicos

Re: Fakenham 23rd Oct 2.35 Fakenham Cool Roxy won over CD last October off 9 lbs lower and has won since, off 2 lb lower here in February (over shorter). He wasnt disgraced at Ascot on his last chase start and despite the fact his recent hurdles form isn't anything to shout from the rooftops about, a return to fences and this favoured track, on ground which suits, entitles him to go well. Pairc Na Gcapall is 10 lbs higher than when winning at Huntingdon in April but has still only made 11 starts over fences (winning twice) and could pop up again as he gets this trip and handles fast ground. Both of his wins have come on right-handed, fast tracks though, so I think his turn may come another day. Winsley Hill is turned out under a 7 lb penalty for a comfortable win at Ludlow just over a week ago. He is still lightly raced over fences, his strike rate of 3-8 is impressive and he looks to be progressing nicely. He shaped as if further improvement was forthcoming when winning well under todays pilot Daryll Jacob at Ludlow, and although he unseated over hurdles on his sole run at this track, he is in much better form this time around; big chance. Sprosser has won a couple of novices chases in years gone by but is yet to land a blow in handicap company. He was well held off 4 lb higher over course and distance in January, and although winning well over hurdles, latest, looks too short for me at 11/4 back in this sphere. Chorizo is 8 lbs higher than when winning on fast ground at Market Rasen in July and faced an impossible task when racing from out of the handicap in a listed chase at that track when last seen. However, he didn't set the world alight in runs prior to that either and I'll pass over, with others looking more likely winners today IMO. Cool Roxy 3/1 Betfred, 0.5 pt Winsley Hill 3/1 Bet 365, 0.5 pt (evens for the pair coupled).
