Stake vs price

Question: do you stake differently dependent on the price? Personally, I bet to level stakes irrespective of price. If I fancy one that is an EW price, then it's a 5pt EW bet whether it's 5/1 or 25/1. The reason I ask is that I've just read a post (from Chris34, I think;)) stating 'I can't split these 2' but stakes on one are double the stakes on another (that's just an example, I'm not picking on you mate:ok). I know people do stake differently in races but I assume that's because you fancy one more than another but the question is does price affect how much you bet? If you fancied 2 horses in the next 2 races and 1 was 10/1 but the other was 2/1, and you had £25 in your pocket, would you have £20 on the 2/1 shot and £5 on the 10/1? Just wondered your views on this:ok
