The Preakness - Saturday 16th May at Pimlico (US)

Many spoke on here of their admitration of the potential wonder filly Rachael Alexandra after she hacked up in the Kentucky Oaks. However, the Preakness will be her true test this Saturday as she faces her male rivals for the first time, many coming here off the back of a run in the Kentucky Derby. Calvin Borel, winner of both the Kentucky Oaks and Kentucky Derby switches from Derby winner Mine that Bird to ride Rachael Alexandra. It is a well known fact amongst those interested in US racing that Kentucky Derby form isnt always upheld in the Preakness and it is often the case that the Preakness yields a completely different result. I have a few fancies for the race this weekend, but will post them up nearer the time. Does anyone else have any thoughts ? The race can be seen on Racing UK. :ok

Re: The Preakness - Saturday 16th May at Pimlico (US) Big Drama. Unbeaten in five starts if you consider he only came 2nd lto when disqualified. This one is a G3 winner on dirt, and would have won a g2 last time if allowed to keep the race, so seems to be progressing. 14's with Sporting Bet.
