Lingfield 4/4/09

Recommended Posts

Re: Lingfield 4/4/09 2.10 Cadre ran respectably on his debut in a Newmarket maiden in behind Fireside, the Spring Mile fav, and Slam, a winner of a handicap off 90 last year, and returned from a break to hack up in a Kempton maiden when last seen. He goes well fresh and the market is making the right noises on his return, for his handicap debut off a mark of 86. 2.45 Distinctive Image won well at Wolverhampton recently and even following an 8 lb rise in his rating went down fighting last time out at this track. He had to go wide turning in and the pace wasn't ideal, so he did well to finish as close as he did and with another 50 yards he would have come out on top there. This race is tougher but he has only had 6 starts and is clearly progressing. I agree with Russ that Grand Caiman is overpriced and will have that as a saver, he's only 4 lbs higher than his best win and is a course specialist.
