Watch Pipe's interview on ATR. He says the horse is exciting and he looked absolutely fantastic in his skin to be honest. Will be interesting on soft ground on a stiff course like Ascot. I have backed him quite big e/w for the Gold Cup and seen Pipe saying a couple weeks back that part of the reason for him coming over here was to be competitive in all the big races. As I said up there ^^^^^, its a run to get stiffness out the legs/body, just to get him some race time. He is never going to beat Master Minded (not over 2m anyway), but a good stiff 2m run at a decent pace will be ideal for him just to get into the swing of things. If you consider backing him in this race then he needs to have speed to beat Master Minded and first time out?!? I am not sure really. He was running in French Gold Cup and 2m6f races and he's a stayer. Especially one year older now and in England. Either go for 3 places at Betfair on the day or back him at 11/4 without MM.
