kevshat
Re: Snooker: The Masters What a standard in that Maguire Robertson match. 5 Centuries in a row! If Maguire can keep that up, no one will touch him. 'On Fire' Stephen Maguire! You do talk bollocks. Stick Maguire playing his best in with O'Sullivan playing his best over best of 19 frames and Maguire won't win 3 frames. Really looking forward to this last QF. Early signs are Ronnie's brought his A game with him. Should be a cracker.

kevshat
Re: Snooker: The Masters Bad day with Robertson losing but what a quality match that was :eek. Back to +12.95 now which I'll still take, especially with both outrights being favourites in their matches to make the final. I wasn't going to bet tomorrow but the overs appeals in the 1st semi. 5pts M.Selby vs J.Higgins - Over 9 Frames Evs Bet365 Both these players played good snooker in their quarter finals and with both being top notch match players I expect a very close semi final here. Both can score heavily and Selby can hold his own in the tactical department which Higgins specialises in. We've got two real class acts here. Selby has now won 5 best of 11 matches at Wembley without losing and he's won them all 6-5 which says a lot about his temperament. Higgins is no stranger to close matches either and with the two men evenly matched I'm confident we'll see a 6-4 or 6-5 scoreline.
WoodyTHFC
Re: Snooker: The Masters Carter didnt really turn up last night. Just one for the semis. Higgins 11/10 var 10 pts On paper a tight clash between two pretty closely matched players but just going for the more experienced Higgins. Higgins has been in good form this season as shown by his win at the grand prix and he has played better as this event has gone on. In his first game he played quite well against Fu where a fortunate fluke settled matters but I felt he upped it against Ding in the next round, scoring well when he got in, 5 50+ breaks including a century in a good 6-4 win. Selby also upped his game from round 1 to round 2. In his first game he didnt play all that well against Walden and limped over the line somewhat but he played well in a high quality q/f against Allen, scoring particularly well when amongst the balls before another fortunate fluke helped him in the final frame. It should be a good game with both players playing well but Higgins has been priced as the underdog if not a narrow one and Im not sure I totally go with that as I think the more experienced Higgins might just edge this one and get to another Masters final. JackJarvis
Re: Snooker: The Masters O'Sullivan is far too in and out though mate, have to worry if he doesn't turn up at his best and then he basically just chucks the game like a little kid. No doubt if he is on form though he should win the whole thing. HIGGINS to beat Selby has to be the call at odds against today. (11/10). Spooner
Re: Snooker: The Masters O'Sullivan v Maguire Ronnie was very impressive last night and yes sometimes he may not 'turn up' but for me even when he is playing poorly he is still a quality player, Maguire has played some nice stuff but I think it will be another comfortable victory for O'Sullivan tonight to set up a good final tomorrow with Selby. O'Sullivan -1.5 @ evens Paddy Power

Charlie Wong
Re: Snooker: The Masters I'll go with 2 outrights. 4pts R.O'Sullivan to win The Masters 3/1 Coral Ronnie O'Sullivan is a big price here. He loves this event in front of what is as good as his home crowd and they are a massive advantage for him too. Ding Junhui will tell you that :lol. O'Sullivan loves nothing more than entertaining fans and there'll be plenty to entertain as the week goes on at Wembley Arena. He also loves winning the big titles so I expect him to play well this week and if Ronnie brings a game which is 80% of his best he'll win this tournament, he's that good. To be fair he's got a tough little draw with Perry and probably Carter needing to be seen off before the semi finals but I'm not too worried about his draw as if he plays well he's as close to unbeatable as there's been in snooker. He tends to go tits up in events that are long in duration or when he's away from home but this isn't that long in that he'll play 4 matches to win it and he'll probably stay at home all week rather than a hotel so I'm sure his head will be right and if it is the others are in trouble. The rocket for me. 1pt ew M.Selby to win The Masters 13/2 William Hill If Mark Selby could've picked a better draw with his own hands I'd like to see it. King or Walden in the 1st round and worst case scenario Ryan Day in the quarter finals before a semi final which could potentially be tricky but you'd expect the Jester to be playing well by then. In all fairness, Selby's form hasn't been great recently but I don't see any shame in losing to Mark Williams at Telford. He's the defending champion this week so if that doesn't bring a return to his top form then nothing will. He knows the prestige of this event and will love to defend the title. At his best he's very hard to beat and he was almost flawless here last year. I fancy him to come through the top half so he's my each way bet for the title. Superb Mate.:clap:clap

Spooner
Re: Snooker: The Masters O'Sullivan v Selby In this form O'Sullivan is unstoppable and I see him winning quite comfortably again tonight, Selby has had two 6-5's this week and could count himself a little lucky to be in the final although he played some nice snooker after the interval yesterday, He could of easily gone in 3-1, 4-0 down to Higgins which was a big turning point in the match. Maguire really didn't do much wrong last night its just when Ronnie is playing like this he is very hard to touch, I'll take him on the handicap again although I wouldn't mind seeing a 10-9 classic!. O'Sullivan -2 @ evens Stan James

Matt
Re: Snooker: The Masters Selby to win for me :unsure I wasnt that impressed by Ronnie last night, he missed some easy balls and quite a lot of the time let Maguire in, it was only the fact Maguire played like a club player that it ended 6-1. Selby was excellent agaisnt Higgins and at 2/1 I am all over Selby today.

Selby hasn't been massively impressive, especially in the early stages but has stepped up when required. Sebly +2.5 frames for me.

kevshat
Re: Snooker: The Masters You're not the only one mate. I only saw it from the interval and the highlights but O'Sullivan looked pretty decent to me. 2/1 Selby does represent value though although with the crowd behind him O'Sullivan could really be on song today. I'm with you in that O'Sullivan will win but Masters finals generally tend to be tight (last 2 excluded :lol) so whether he'll win 10-7 or not I'm unsure :ok
Spooner
Re: Snooker: The Masters Ronnie started well but Selby came back at him very well and his saftey play is very good so far, I think that last frame was very important for O'Sullivan, Not to sure on my -2 bet now though. Good final so far though. :ok
