The winner that day was Newlan Art who has a 2nd and win from two since. Second horse Imaginary Diva (beaten 2 3/4L) won her next two. Sixth horse Halaak (beaten 11L) won next time out. Other six runners have not raced since. 2pts ew @ SP (25-1 RPF) Billy Red Lingfield 14:00 4148 since 22OCt08. Dropped in Class from 5 to 6. Made all over 6f at Great Leighs three outings ago. His next two was raced over 5f so return to 6f today should help. Jockey booked is Jim Crowley. Crowley won 3 of 7 rides yesterday (2 from 4 here). 2pts ew @ SP (25-1 RPF)

Re: Lingfield + 31Dec08 12.00 Lingfield Not playing here but for the sake of interest....Today's The Day stands a decent chance of providing Michael Jarvis with his first winner for two weeks. She has been knocking on the door in polytrack maidens and dead heated with Comadoir for 3rd at this course last time out (had Maswerte back in 4th and both run off identical weights here). However, she has been getting pipped late on, and I would personally prefer to see it over shorter than the 7f they tackle today. Maswerte is sent here by Luca Cumani and was well backed ahead of his course appearance earlier in the month. It will be interesting to see if the money comes for him again before taking a plunge, but he would have to step up on all form shown to date to take this and to over turn form with the Jarvis runner. Maybe Dimander is worth a gamble here. Amanda Perrett's colt contested a course and distance maiden last time out and was beaten by just a head by Pezula Bay. Sky High Kid, 6th, boosted the form a little when landing a Great Leighs maiden earlier in the week, and at least Dimander is more likely to see out this trip than Maswerte and Today's the Day. Was held up last time, so draw in 9 isn't such a bad thing, and Jim Crowley is decent around these parts.
