Following on from the 3 winners this afternoon from Southwell, I'll continue with my handicap bets from Great Leighs tonight, starting with.... 6.50 Bienheureux (4.5pts @ 4/1 Betfred) Dropped again in weights and should win off this mark. Needs a clear run but excellent jockey on board to guide this home. Ben Bacchus (3pts @ 7/1 SportingBet) Judged on close up 4th 2 starts ago, has major chance here. Another dropped to a mark it could win off in a poor race. Me Fein (2.5pts @ 8/1 Betfred) 3 from 6 on AW and won twice in this grade earlier in the year. Completely out of form lately but 3lb lower than last winning mark could see return to form. 6 x 0.5pt F/C combos.

Re: Great Leighs - 27/12 7.20 Great Leighs The Magic of Rio may not be worth every 1 lb of her 90 rating in a handicap, but in this company she must still be good enough to win this claimer even if she is a few lbs below her official figure. Peter Grayson claimed her out of Willie Haggas' yard last time out in a weak Southwell contest, but she has proven equally effective on polytrack when winning at this track over shorter back in August. She has to tackle an extra furlong here, but this is the same trip she won over at Southwell last time. 7.50 Great Leighs Thewaytosanjose is a well bred filly and then penny seemed to finally drop for this daughter of Fasliyev when she won at Southwell last time out. She's up 9 lbs here, but won well last time and in a race with few lively contenders she could have a squeak. 8.20 Great Leighs Top-weight Azure Mist is in good form and is running off the same mark as when losing by just a neck in a course and distance handicap two runs ago. She has since gone on to pick up a maiden, so with conditions no problem and with a seemingly decent handicap mark, she looks to have a solid chance. 8.50 Great Leighs Lyceana looks to have a cracking chance on only her second start in a handicap. Michael Jarvis' Medicean filly had Bullet Man back in 4th in a maiden and that rival has just won on his handicap debut off 75 for Luca Cumani, beating Action Impact in the process. The handicapper has let Lyceana in on 74 here, so she could be weighted to score. The form of her maiden win was further boosted by the 5th, Fosool, recently, and although she disappointed lto at Ling, she deserves another chance running off this mark now stepped up in trip.
