Wincanton - Sat 8th Nov

Recommended Posts

12.40 Knightsbridgelives - I can't see a King horse go off at 16/1 without backing it with so few runners in this here. Showed some promise on hurdles debut at Plumpton lto, when was quite well fancied. Could improve and top class jock on. 16/1 Bet 365 BOG 2.50 Another small field so going on Dishdasha, who seems quite consistent and is race sharp. Been running well off 124 and 125 ish and only been put up a few lbs here. Admittedly does race from out of handicap but 80/1 Betfred so taking a punt. 3.25 Joacci fell in the national but so did many others and he could be in with a shout at a big price here - 16/1 ppower (bog). The RP said after one recent run that he is handicapped to win something again soon and he is down to 140 now, has won off 3 lb higher in the past. Has won returning from a break before, handles cut, trainer coming back to form (two winners on monday so taking a chance.

Re: Wincanton - Sat 8th Nov Nicholls has a knack of bringing a strong string to this track & Ruby has 7 rides for him here today. I can see him at least 4 but which 4, trying to work it out means i need a banker plus maybe 2 others & then will have 2 decent doubles. 1.45 Henderson's HORA is the key player here after destroying the field at Aintree over 3m last time out. Up 18lbs for that success, it will depend on Nicholls runner giving it a race. Lamanver Homerun won on the track last season but sharpness may tell here with Henderson's horse having run twice already this season. 2.20 Breedsbreeze is one of my horses to follow this season & this is a major test with Ring The Boss in opposition today. Both opened their accounts for the seaon with a win in novice company & i am hopeful that the track may just suit Breedsbreeze slightly better than Ring the Boss. 2.50 Takeroc is being touted as a potential 2m Champion Chase prospect & faces Katchit today in what could be a very interesting race. Getting 19lbs from the Champion Hurdle winner may be enough for this horse to win this & Alan King's record here is only half as good as Nicholls. Will be looking for around 2/1 on this animal today (currently 7/4). Katchit wont go down without a fight though & will be a great race with a close finish.
