04:00 Flemington BH, I presume its okay to nap from this race as it is listed in the RP cards online? It seems New Zealander's do well in this race with Efficient, Ethereal, Brew, Jezabeel and Might and Power all landing the prize in recent years. It doesn't seem to be a race in which rank outsiders do particularly well. Although Efficient (16/1), Delta Blues (17/1), and Brew (14/1) all won at fair odds, the likes of Makybe Diva (who has won this three times), Media Puzzle, Ethereal, Rogan Josh, Jezebeel and Might and Power were all priced up at 9/1 or less. Those carrying low weights also seem to be favoured and only one winner has carried over 9 stone in the last eleven runnings. With all that in mind I'm backing Nom du Jeu. Murray Baker's colt, like many of these, has stamina to prove here, but finished second behind Godolphin's All the Good in the Caulfield Cup last time out. He had tomorrows opponents Mad Rush, Master O'Reilly and Viewed, amonst others, behind that day, and clearly comes into the race in good heart. 0.5 pt EW

Re: Tue 4th Nov - Best bet of the Day Barbaricus 4.00am Flemington (EW) Consistent at Group 1 level without winning over 10f and 12f, third in the Caulfield Cup and placed 3 days ago, should go on the ground and the extra distance might bring out improvement in the horse, has a low weight to carry and is interesting ew at about 16-1.
