1.50 You can pretty much ignore Benbaun when he is racing anywhere else other than the Curragh - as his form of 017056 over the past two years demonstrates. However, around here his record is well documented and reads an amazing 1112 in that same period, and all of those races were Group 3's. Today he lines up for a listed race and so dropping down in class after a series of disappointing efforts in England, he must still rank as the one to beat given his form here. Only found Tax Free too good the last time he raced here (over 5f) but may gain compensation here over 6f, as he's proved he is just as effective over this distance too. 11/4 Sporting Bet.

Re: Curragh 28/9/08 2.55 Soul City 11/4 var bog 15pts Looks the class act of this big field and could well provide yet another big 2 year old win for his trainer. His win on the second start at hq was pretty impressive and teh form of that win received several boosts. Then was fourth in a group 2 at good. which worked out well with horses from that race winning group 2 since, being placed in group 1. Then went over to france on two occasions and won both times and both times pretty easily against a decent field, indeed both times jukebox jury, yesterdays group 2 winner has been behind. Very difficult race with so many runners but he does look to have the class edge. 3.40 Chintz 13/2 var bog 7.5 pts e.w Three runs so far for this one and three pretty good runs. On debut won with the front pair pulling nicely clear. then was moved up in company to a listed race where she was well beaten but did run into the very useful shimah on that ocassion and the second that day was a fair race. Lto she was second again behind a nice sort who is in the fillies million later on today and is clearly well thought of, she was a fair way clear of the third too and clearly has some solid runs to her name already and this could be a fair opportunity in group compnay, certain place prospects for sure. 4.15 High Heeled 16/1 boy bog 7.5 pts e.w 5 places Interesting that hills has chosen this route for this well thought of horse rather than the group 1 yesterday for which she may well have been in with a fair shout of snatching that third spot behind the big two. Indeed on debut she chased home Rainbow View, well beaten by 6 lengths but that clearly is a good run with a subsequent listed/group 2 placed horse behind. Then at glor. good. seemed to be given a fair bit to do before running on encouragingly into sixth even if at first glance that run looks a bit below par. however lto broke her maiden tag and did it well, very easy winner at kem on the a/w and the horses she beat have run creditibly since. There maybe one or two in here with better profiles at first glance but I get the impression she is very well thought of and that this has been a well thought of decision to put her in this race and it could be a smart move, the ability that she has to already see out a furlong more than this trip in a cavalry charge like this, can be an advantage too.
