7.20 This looks a hot little handicap IMO. CD winner Storm Sir chases the hat-trick for Brian Meehan and is up 5 lbs for his defeat of Yarqus (was rated 90) LTO. Fervent Prince won LTO at Sandown off 90 and is proven on the AW too with a win on his last polytrack run at Kempton. Aromatherapy is one that I've followed this season and bids to make it a hat-trick of CD wins for Henry Cecil. Had Tableu Vivant behind when she won her maiden and the 3rd, Illusion, has been running well since in marks in the 90's. Made handicap debut running off 82 and beat August Gale by three quarters of a length. The 4th was quite a bit behind Aromatherapy and has been running well enough off similar sort of marks to Aromatherapy's current rating of 88 to suggest Cecil's horse could still have a chance here. Raced on turf LTO at Newmarket and running off 87 in a class 3 handicap finished 4th. Had Dunn'o behind in 4th and that rival ran well off 85 today at Ascot to boost the form, the 2nd looks a late 80's horse, the winner was rated 87 that day, and even the 5th, Stevie Thunder is no mug. I think she may still have a chance on her current mark, have taken 7/2 with Sky Bet.

Re: Great Leighs 27/9/08 7.50 Poster 11/10 var bog 15 pts Came fourth on debut but since has stepped up on that well with two subsequent wins that both read well. The first of them at leic included a victory over Kite Wood who has since come out and won what looked a good donc. maiden and indeed afterwards was getting the odd quote for the derby. Then on the a/w he was an easy winner beating a horse called Fullback who has since come out and won and indeed reopposes today but its tough to see that form being reversed and Poster seems to have strong claims today. 9.20 Royal Vintage 11/4 var bog 15 pts Backed this one last time and in truth it was a poor effort, was prominent early but faded badly over 7f. After a run like that it takes some courage to back it again so quickly and on turf I wouldnt but on the a/w it does interest. Of course the a/w isnt quite the same as the dirt, for which this one has terrific form over, however it could well just suit him. Another factor is a return to a longer trip, 7f lto was a bit too sharp and this is more like the trip he thrived on over in dubai, chosen over stablemate which is another boost and if he gets anywhere near his dubai form then he should win this.
