Hills list 1.20 and under Bets placed 16 Units staked 16.00 Units returned 14.84 Profit -1.16 Yield -7.25% Strike rate 81.25% 16 bets in total of which there were 13 wins and 3 losses. Hills list over 1.20 Bets placed 188 Units staked 188.00 Units returned 195.07 Profit 7.07 Yield 3.76% Strike rate 64.36% 188 bets in total of which there were 121 wins and 67 losses. The complete list ( Target 1 unit return ) Bets placed 202 Units staked 503.09 Units returned 491.22 Profit -11.87 Yield -2.36% Strike rate 65.35% 202 bets in total of which there were 132 wins and 70 losses. Betting against the list Bets placed 185 Units staked 185.00 Units returned 180.84 Profit -4.16 Yield -2.25% Strike rate 14.59% 185 bets in total of which there were 27 wins and 158 losses. This final list has been the one that has really surprised me. It’s all been about blindly betting on the outsider, and to only be, just over 4 units down after 185 bets, I find amazing. I have several ideas I want to look into over the summer, but if people are interested in me carrying on with this when the English season starts, I will carry on with it. Please let me know. I have a few comments... 1. It seems you have used the highest odds you could find on the net irrespective of how dodgy the bookie might be. Surely, if this was done for real all the way, you would not open accounts with 50 odd bookies. Scanning through the text, some of the odds pairings you have found for the fav/dog have looked very close to sure-bet territory, which means that you - bar the draw - would end up with a good result either way. On a more specific note, I noticed you listed Dansk Tipstjeneste once or twice, and they do not do single bets. Perhaps a more true reflection of this would be if you chose a realistic number of reliable bookies and took the best odds among them. 2. I must admit I lately have been very surprised myself at the amount of top teams not only drawing but losing "easy" games at home (Valencia this weekend for instance, Real last week, Dortmund, Schalke, aso.). It would be very interesting to see whether there is a seasonal change in the charts - ie. if the top teams tend to win their "easy" games more during mid-season but fall more towards the end. 3. If the argument is "do the top teams on Hills list win or not win their games - and is it sensible to back against them", it seems to me that you are leaving the draw out there in a limbo. Wouldn't it make more sense to either include the draw in a table of its own or include it in the dogs table - ie. always play the x2, for instance, when backing against a home fav?
