Re: Lingfield 03/09 Ling 3.50 - Spanish Cygnet - win Quite a hot little race for a Class 5 Novice ......... Playfellow has won it's only start, a haydock maiden, quite impressively. But that was on heavy ground and the form might not be reliable. It may just be that the horse is a heavy ground plodder. Enouh doubt to pass it over Spanish Cygnet was a bit unlucky in running in a Listed race LTO having won it's maiden on the all weather. Improving with racing and you'd have to think it would be Listed class Similarly with Indian Art - has finished 2nd in a Listed race and although only 8th LTO, that was in one of those very hot big prize 'Sales' races. Has been campaigned at 6F so far, presumably to go for the big money in the Sales race, but should improve stepping up to 7F..........another one who looks around Listed class. Musleh is on debut from the Bin Suroor yard and with Frankie up is bound to attract support. Look at the record tho'.........Bin Suroor rarely gets first time out winners, likes to give then a 'nice introduction'. So I'm passing it over, but if it does win, it's probably a good 'un. Bit of extra interest with an Irish raider - Comadoir - who ran in the early season better races in Ireland and finished 2nd in five of them. Had nearly 3 months off since last running. The two I fancy against the field would be Spanish Cygnet and Indian Art, both available at around 6/1..............with preference for Spanish Cygnet, because we know it acts on the all weather and is more lightly raced and open to more improvement.
