Live Poker at the Excalibur with no dealers!

Re: Live Poker at the Excalibur with no dealers! Without having tried it, it's hard to tell how different it would be to "normal" live poker. You have the other players sitting at the table, so I'd guess it feels more like live than online, but obviously there will be differences. Almost certainly one hand of normal live poker would be more fun than one hand of this, but you'll get more hands of this per hour than of normal live poker, so it's not clear which would offer more "fun per hour". It will be interesting to see whether it catches on, and to see how much (if any) of the savings in dealers' wages are passed on to the players.

Re: Live Poker at the Excalibur with no dealers! They had the PokerPro tables at Aspers in Newcastle a while back but they had to get them taken out for some reason (classed as slots or summit and they only allowed so many slots per casino)... Anyways I played on these a little bit and think its a lot like online.... its rigged too!! Deffo prefer live than these automated machines..... also there is a time limit on these machines!

Personally i quite liked them as only time i have ever had a royal flush and someone pushed all in against me! I think it did tend to attract new players who had never played before as was not as daunting as actual playing 'live'. Quite a few fish were circulating the table for sure, which was good for me.

Re: Live Poker at the Excalibur with no dealers! I don't see an issue, I've played on these tables at the Crown casino in Melbourne and the big Casino in Darling Harbour in Sydney (forget it's name) It's clearly better for the casino, more hands per hour. Think the actual rake per hand is slightly lower, for a winning player these things are great. Don't knock it till you've tried it.
